So should we be worried or not? Don't recognize two of those names. Give us the 411.

Do not fret...

- Tony Gilroy showran season one / wrote the first three episodes of season one. He's returned to do the exact same this go-around.

- Dan Gilroy, Tony's brother and writer of 2014's excellent Nightcrawler, wrote episodes four, five, and six last season.

- Beau Willimon wrote the three-episode season one Narkina prison arc, including the infamous "One Way Out" episode featuring all-time speeches from both Kino and Luthen.

- Tom Bissell is the lone newcomer, and admittedly doesn't have a super-impressive resume, but under the close watch of Tony (if not Dan and Beau as well), I'm sure he did just fine.

In other words, once again, we're in crazy good care.

The only slight concern is that they'd give the newbie the final arc, but I'll take it.

Give the guy who wrote the Narkina arc a movie for God's sakes.

We need Tony Gilroy to become synonymous with Star Wars. In my opinion, he has shown that he respects the lore while crafting engaging and fresh stories. I am genuinely enjoying The Acolyte, but it feels like AA baseball compared to Andor (MLB).

If anyone is interested in reading the comics, I found this guide last night. There's also a timeline available for the novels.

Most comics are available on Marvel Unlimited, but some from IDW and Dark Horse (other big comic publishers) are not.

Guide:https://youtini.com/timelines/canon/canon-comics

Preview of how it's organized:Timeline pops up below when you click on an era.

What a stupid way to "react" to the movies

I still have no idea how reaction videos are so popular or even have much of an audience. Just seems like a cut-rate, no talent way for people to make money based off of actual work.

Because when they're actually genuine it's great way to share an amazing experience with others….

Just like when you watch a movie with a friend who's never seen it before and you watch your friends reaction to a pivotal scene instead of the scene itself….

But when it's cheap, fake, or disengenious then of course it's not fun to watch…..

I always love this as my exhibit A:

I just don't view the recorded reaction from a plethora of random people online to actually sitting or sharing an experience with a friend or family member.

Personally, I get way more out of just talking with most people after the fact of them seeing a movie anyways…like we do on here. Likewise if I'm going to see a movie for the first time I don't care how others are reacting to it. If I've seen it enough that I want to see someone else's reaction to it that I keep looking at them during big moments that is kind of weird/framing them to think they should have a reaction and takes them out of the movie itself, thereby kind of ruining their engrossment.

I'll get off my soapbox.

The "reactions" where they actually discuss what they are thinking about the song/movie/tv show, similar to how we used to consume movie critics, are generally ok. You just find the ones who either seem to know what they are talking about, or jive with your style.

The ones where they are clearly just performing for camera and hamming it up, no thanks.
And thats most of what gets linked and created because its a lot easier to do than the former.
Feel like the initial run of "reaction" content was pretty good, and now its just all copycats and not genuine in anyway.
