What if this show is amazing?
Dude, it has gay and transgender people associated with it. TexAgs has already determined it's the WORST.

TC seems to be transitioning or has dual personality or something. He's now asking himself questions on this thread.

These kind of statements always separate the olds from everyone else. I see replying to my own posts as simply creating a thread or chain, while others take it literal, as if it can only be interpreted as having an actual conversation with oneself.
That you think those are the only options says a lot about you, my man.

Do it in yellow font. It'll be easier to read and also be like the Star Wars text scroll

Makes you wonder how this person is "killing Jedi" because in her first 2 clips, she's getting her ass kicked. Perhaps it's a ruse of a larger menace, maybe even a phantom menace.

I doubt she's the one killing jedi. She's probably angry at them for some childhood reason and initially misguided. She'll be redeemed before the season is over.

No doubt.

And does that above tweet confirm that we have actual Sith in this show?

From Den of Geek

Quote:

"The character of Mae was rooted in a very early idea I had, even before we had her character, which was: do the Jedi have a monopoly on the Force? Or are there Force users that exist in the galaxy, who are either dealt with and disposed of, or do they have to keep themselves hidden? Are they good guys or bad guys?"

Headland also explained how she came up with the concept behind the series, and where the idea of introducing the Sith 100 years before they reappeared in The Phantom Menace came from. This is something that has been very questioned on social media, even before seeing the series. But this is how Headland explained it:

Quote:

"There are certain things that happened in the prequels about the Sith and about Darth Maul, and the Jedi's understanding of them, that I found intriguing. Qui-Gon on Tatooine immediately knows that Darth Maul is a Sith from fighting him and then reports that to the [Jedi] Council. Yoda knows about the Rule of Two; he says there's always a master and an apprentice. So, while they're considered extinct, there was a little bit of knowledge about the Sith that I felt would not have come from ancient history. To me, it felt like to know that information that quickly; it would have had to have been in the last 100 years."
The showrunner also explained why she landed on this specific time period to tell her Star Wars story:

Quote:

"There were two reasons I wanted to set it in that particular time period and that far away from the prequels. One, I didn't want to mess with any canon. The other thing that I loved about this period was the lack of legacy characters. I was too nervous to take them on, but also, I feel like we've seen a lot of that. [The High Republic] felt like a sandbox that I could easily jump into.
In live-action, you haven't seen the Sith as the underdogs, as wildly outnumbered by the number of Jedi that are in the universe. It seemed interesting to me to explore that."

It's still crazy to me that this movie comes out TWO YEARS from today, yet apparently starts filming next month. At this point, those Luke rumors have to be true…

Some Darth Traya vids from KOTOR 2

This first vid, when you meet her - not sure aout the character's attire btw - the day I got this game, I went home after work to play it around midnight, had just gotten to this scene, where you think everyone is dead, had walked to the kitchen to get a snack, and she talked and it scared the **** out of me. Was on par with "Jacob" talking in that scene in the cabin with John Locke and Ben LInus.

Sometimes I feel crazy, but for as long as I can remember, I never thought the Jedi had a monopoly of the Force. There have been countless force users that weren't Jedi. Starting with the Emperor in Empire Strikes Back.

Heck even KOTOR 2 basically had non-Jedi Force users. You turn some of your companions into Force users.

That being said I am super excited this is taking beats from KOTOR 2.

Same here and I agree that there have all ways been other Force users all throughout the EU, which is probably where both of our memories come from.

The Aing-Tii monks in the Hand of Thrawn series, Kar vastor in Shatterpoint, I know there are many others, but it makes a lot of sense that other beings could engage with it.

For the Acolyte, the question then becomes are the "dark women" we see a sect of other Force Users or fallen / abandoned Jedi or both?

Yoda would have been like 600 years old in this time period. Maybe he knows about the sith because he's really really old. How does someone writing a Star Wars story not know that?
"H-A: In return for the flattery, can you reduce the size of your signature? It's the only part of your posts that don't add value. In its' place, just put "I'm an investing savant, and make no apologies for it", as oldarmy1 would do."

Okay. Glad I am not crazy on that point. I am interested to see how they answer that question in the show. I am feeling more interested about the show the more I hear.

Who doesn't know about it? I'm confused.
