Also, this might very well remain a theater exclusive, seeing as the rest of the footage is just a shortened version of the first trailer. That said, surely we'll be getting a new trailer soon, with the season itself premiering in only a month.

That's what I've always advocated for. Specifically, Sebastian Stan. Unfortunately, Solo scared the sh*t out of Disney/Lucasfilm, and because execs almost always learn the wrong lessons, they'll likely never cast any other actor in a major "legacy" role like that again. Instead, we'll keep getting the uncanny valley until tech finally bridges the gap. It got closer with Harrison Ford last summer but it's still not there, IMO. Maybe in another year or two it will be.
Eventually we will get a movie starring Jimmy Stewart and Gary Cooper as adversaries seeking a McGuffin, and we will believe it is really them. Obviously will need legal approval from estates/family.
I knocked out all 6 Tales of the Empire today. They are both very strong just like the ones last year about Ahsoka and Dooku. This has become a real strength for the saga under Filoni, these 3-part, roughly 45 minute in total life cycle tales. Morgan Elsbeth's really fills in her story well, and Bariss Offee's is outstanding.
I saw that TruMoo is selling limited edition Blue Milk so my dad and I decided to cosplay while we went to Target to pick up some up. I was a hyperdrive mechanic for the resistance and he was Darth Vader (retired/on holiday). Every single kid in the place got a kick out of it, lots of people yelling out May the 4th be with you, and smiles all around
Way better trailer than the first one, finally with crystal clear communication of the plot.
That said, my big worry is that the story seems to be lacking a major protagonist through which the story is told, which is somewhat of a red flag. Instead, the Jedi-killer girl looks to be the closest thing to a main character, but the trailer, at least, keeps her at arm's length, nothing looks to be told from her point of view, etc.
That, and as exciting as new franchise territory is, I just don't know if general audiences are going to show up for something without any recognizable franchise characters, save for generic Jedi. Hopefully, if it's good, the buzz/hype will bring more viewers in.
Overall, though, the filmmaking looks to at least be better than The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, with some really great action as well. IMO, it's all going to hinge on how engaging the mystery is, and how much we connect with the "good" guys, whoever they might be.
