I had 3 or 4 of those 12" tall figures from the 1970's when the first movie came out. Probably around 1988 or so I took a Mapp Gas torch to Darth Vader. He was the lone survivor at that time and I don't know why I hung on to him that long.

I swear I must have been the only kid/teen that didn't destroy my toys on purpose. Plenty broke, but I was always upset about it.

My cousin broke every toy in our extended family.
My Evel Knievel action figure made quite the jump off our stairs.
While I was at A&M in the late 80's my mom's house was broken into. Nearly all of my SW toys were stolen. Left the TV's, the jewelry, the silverware, the stereo, the Atari….but no….had to take all the SW toys. Including a blue Snagletooth.
Never found out who did it, and it still irks me somewhat to this day.

I have to stop myself every once in a while from buying some of those old toys. Would kinda like to have the falcon hanging from the ceiling chasing a TIE or something.

Got that Ewok village for my 5th birthday. It was like Ralphie getting the Red Ryder BB gun. "Santa" made a recreation for my kid a couple of years ago. Even hollowed one of those logs out with a drill. (That was a PITA)
Took the family to see Jedi last night. Daughter wasn't the biggest fan but my 2 boys loved every minute of it. Great family experience.
Me and my brother were huge Star Wars freaks growing up and we bought every action figure, ship, base, etc we could get our hands on. It was awesome. Unfortunately my family was moving overseas so we ended up getting rid a lot of stuff. I almost decided to store it but as a kid opted for quick cash and sold it (cheap). Regret it till this day. It would definitely be worth something now. We kept everything in pristine condition.
If any one still has their old toys kicking around, folks on Ebay are 3D printing a lot of parts. I had an old AT AT that was missing the top hatch, paid someone a couple of bucks for a replacement, slapped some paint on it and it was like new.
Happy Star Wars Day! They got the TVs on TBS all day at work for the movies. TRoS is on right now.

Poor Chewbacca
Lucas took inspiration from his dog Indiana for Chewbacca (and also Indiana Jones). When the studio saw dailies, they were worried Chewie was naked and said “can he wear bermuda shorts?” Lucas said “it’s okay. Chewie doesn’t have a penis” and the studio were fine with it.
