Vader looked up at Superman, his own defeat evident on his face. "Perhaps not," he said, his voice weak. "But the Dark Side will always be a threat to your world."

Superman nodded, knowing that Vader was right. The battle may have been won, but the war was far from over. He would have to continue to fight to protect Earth from the forces of evil, no matter what the cost.

Basically it was put on hold because Patty Jenkins wanted to finish Wonder Woman 3. This timeline got pushed back which pushed back Rogue Squadron. Now, Wonder Woman3 is up in the air due to DC trying to figure out what to do with their Universe. So, that leaves Patty J to possibly do Rogue Squadron before WW3 (if it happens at all).

I think the cable itself adheres to the AT-AT's legs, so the trailing end doesn't matter. The lead end has a harpoon that sticks to the target.

Watching the sequence again, Luke should have gotten up on top of it, cut the cockpit open, killed the pilots and start driving it around like Chewie does with the AT-ST on Endor

That always bugged me too.

I explained it away to myself that they had some sort of shield generator for the top and sides and front and back that got damaged when it got tripped up.

Or Lucas just didn't plan that part well.
