I think Mando S2 ending on such an incredibly high note, coupled with the year-long gap between S2 and The Book of Boba Fett, has done wonders to chill everyone out (myself included) when it comes to the Disney-owned Star Wars era. With all the promising SW content coming up, I'd say this is the best shape the Disney-owned SW era has ever been. Even Hayden Christensen's inclusion in a couple of the upcoming series will likely paint the prequels in a better, more positive light. In other words, I'm thinking/hoping there's going to be more of a kumbaya vibe going forward among the fandom, now that Lucasfilm seems to have finally figured out what the fans want…

I got to the point a while back where I don't even get my hopes up when new Star Wars projects are announced.

How many things have been announced and then never heard about again? The Benioff and Weiss movies? The Rian Johnson "trilogy"? Now this?

I wish they just stopped announcing things completely until they are actually in full pre-production.

As for Star Wars fandom going forward....

All generations love Obi-Wan. Everyone loves the character, and everyone loves Ewan McGregor.

This show will bring peace and prosperity to the galaxy.

So now that Rogue Squadron is delayed, full steam ahead on the 2023 Old Republic movie rumor?

Wow, that story suddenly seems a lot more credible, seeing as THR essentially confirmed half of it today…

Other rumors are that Disney+ will expand on The High Republic (ongoing book and comic series) via a movie and/or D+ series. The talk about an Old Republic project is likely THR related.

The outstanding questions about THR movie project is whether it will be a streaming or theatric release.

The other rumors have to do with Kathy Kennedy's meeting with Daisy Ridley last month, and a future post sequel series project on D+.

Did Disney officially announce either the D&D or Rian Johnson ones? Couldn't remember if those were just reports or if anything was officially announced. Obviously the Rogue Squadron one was, curious to see where that one goes with this announcement.

What if her next project is called Wonder Woman 3: Rogue Squadron?

And now that I think about it, Gal Gadot would make one fine Bastila Shan.

To hear that Rogue Squadron is delayed and now Wonder Woman 3 will be pushed ahead of it, it makes me absolutely loathe Wonder Woman 84 even more.

Still probably the worst post-2000 era comic book movie I've seen. How in the world is anyone giving a rat's ass about a third WW film now?

Ditto. And it was green lit even after the initial reviews of it sucking coming in. I guess technically they probably approved it before releasing it, but it was almost shocking to see it green lit after it had bombed.

The only reason to see WW3 is to simply marvel at Gal's hotness.

If they're resetting the DCEU with The Flash, WW84 may not matter

The 4th a Abrams-verse Star Trek movie has now claimed the old December 22, 2023 Rogue Squadron slot. So, if Disney does indeed have another Star Wars movie set for that date, that they're planning to announce on Friday, that announcement just got a bit more more complicated…

More transformers and star trek. Disney basically just has to turn the lights on in the morning to beat paramount

1. I had no idea another Star Trek was getting made.

2. I can't wait to see another Transformers movie. I love their insanity.

Bumblebee was really well done. So I'm sure Paramount will screw it up and trend back in the Bay direction.
