Disagree. Am entire freaking galaxy out there, and the second movie of the reboot retreads the second movie of the first movie series.

Not progress.

Just because they were better than the crappy TNG movies does not make them good or interesting.

The 2009 film had some moments. 2013 was just retread. So much for boldly going where they have already been before.

IT'S HAPPENING...

Could The First 'Star Wars Episode VII' Trailer Be Coming This Year?

If true, this means we'll likely be getting trailers for Episode VII, Batman v. Superman, Jurassic World, and Terminator: Genisys (yes, that's how they're spelling it) all in the next seven weeks or so.

A great point made in that article is that Disney/Lucasfilm will likely want to put the first trailer for the NEXT Star Wars film with the current one, each December (likely at the end of the movie instead of before). So it makes sense to start that precedent now. In other words, we'll likely see the first trailer for the spin-off movie with Episode VII, and then in 2016, we'll likely see the first trailer for Episode VIII with the spin-off movie, and so on.

Obviously many months of post-production to be done, but it's exciting to know that what will become the new Star Wars movie has been filmed and exists in the world now.

Well this is certainly good to hear. The Daniels quote - while awesome - is obviously expected from someone involved with the production, but it's Drew's final paragraph that really gets me pumped...

Doesn't have to be better than Empire... just has to be better than Ep I-III. And I think it's pretty much a given that these movies will be better than those!

Not bad, but not great either. It's definitely not Phantom Menace / Attack of the Clones bad, but instead sounds like one of the generic video games. "Awakens" reminds me too much of "Rises." Feels like the evolution of that whole trend. Just kind of bland overall, but whatever. I can live with it.

It actually looks they're ditching the episode titles. The official graphic is simply Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Probably due to the fact that they tend to make dozens of these, and the episode numbering might get a little ridiculous down the line...

Not a great title. Then again neither was "Attack of the Clones".

But why drop the episode number? That just won't look right in the box set.
