The twist this season, however, is loved ones will be forced to choose whether to "save" their partner on Redemption Island and switch places with them, thus allowing their loved one to immediately re-enter the game, or leave them in exile to survive on their own.

Yeah... Not super excited about Redemption Island again. I thought that was thoroughly disliked by most fans.

It seems interesting. I dont remember half these people tho.

And I really hated redemption island.

Redemption Island truels. Because Redemption Island will have two people to start, and a third will join after the first episode, duels will feature three people, so they’re actually truels. The loser goes home.

Redemption Island swap redux. The swap isn’t just for the opening first-impressions vote. Partners can swap in at any duel, and based on Dalton Ross’ reporting, it sounds like they may be able to decide to swap after getting a sense of the challenge, so the pair can decide which of them is better off in that particular challenge. That also means the tribes may continually change.

Redemption Island power. But wait, there’s more! The voted-out, trueling people will get power: The winner of the Redemption Island challenge will be able to give a hidden immunity idol clue to anyone in the game.

Crap, I don't think I recorded this last night.

I hate the fact that Survivor changes the name of the show every season, so I have to set up a new season pass every year.

I don't know why, but it always bothers me when they get to the island and have to immediately vote someone off (to redemption island).

I still love the show, but, it is getting old. I'm tired of them always throwing in retreads of past players.

Also, did CBS/Mark Burnett buy an island in the Philippines? This is the third season, in a row, they have filmed there.

I can see why they had redemption island this time. That way they can make family members watch their loved-ones lose in a gladiator fight.

Except that when Rupert took his wife's spot, she then became a member of the returnee's tribe.

They did send Rupert's wife in. He took her place.

If you're talking about the newbies going to tribal, Rupert's wife is no longer part of their tribe at that point.

Rupert is gone and Colton is still makes my ears and eyes bleed. That is all I got from this episode.

John made a major blunder with his five guys alliance. When the majority of the group wants something early on, don't rock the boat and cause them to doubt your loyalties. (re: voting Rachel to coax Tyson at RI)

Colton is back to his old self. The difference now is that his tribe can collectively stand up to him.

I am glad that Rupert has now lost this game for the 4th time. Please stop bringing him back.

I'm wondering if Candice giving the clue to her husband was a mistake. The potential to find the idol made him into a target.

I'm hoping they don't keep people at Redemption Island forever like in previous seasons. If they win 2-3 challenges, they should get back in the game.

What they need to do is when you get back in the game, you can decide what tribe you want to go to - the one you were voted out of, or the other one, where your loved one potentially is.

Colton is so freaking annoying just stop showing him so much. I can't see how anyone would think he is entertaining.

Colton's antics are enough to drive me away from this show. Starting with next week when he goes crying into the arms of his boyfriend. I'm not a homophobe, but that's just something I don't care to watch.
