Maybe Deb will take LaGuerta out to protect Dexter. Of course that will just make her even more of an emotional train wreck than usual, if that's even possible. I don't know if it's the writing or the acting, but watching Deb break down every single week sucks.

I think LaGuerta gets killed by Hannah.She does it to show her devotion to Dexter by protecting him. Just like she did for Wayne back when she was 15.

Not sure how Hannah will find out, but I figure it will.

Hannah is the only thing that makes this season decent.

I love her. A lot.

Watched Sunday's episode on DVR a few moments ago and just when I began to forget the shower with your sister story line from last season, they tease that scene with Deb and her shrink talking about Dex in the season recap. As uncomfortable as that scene was to watch, I felt as though it was executed pretty well.

Ray Stevenson as Isaac Sirko has been brilliant in my opinion. Cool, sophisticated, charming, witty and as dangerous as they come. That scene at the end where he and Dexter wax philosopically at the bar was tense, insightful, moving.

But I also liked him as Titus Pullo in Rome.

Loved the bar scene. Ray Stevenson is one of my favorite actors. Much, much better villain than the self help guru from the previous season.

That was probably one of the best scenes in the last couple of seasons. While watching it, I couldn't help but think about how great this scene was.

Less deb please

Agree with the above about the gay bar scene. Thought it was up near the top scenes in the series. Revealed a lot about both characters, great dialogue and acting, and was a great showdown scene between two enemies with mutual respect for one another. It reminded me of the diner scene in Heat where Pacino and De Niro finally meet.

Also loved the exchange between Dex and the hit man in Isaac's apt. Cracked me up.

Has everyone given up on this show? I'm kind of shocked they went the way they did tonight, as it seems like this season (which was already pretty busy) took care of some loose ends but added just as much on to the plate. What are your thoughts after tonight's episode?

I think this season has been a bit different then the ones in the past. I think they are developing new character dynamics for next years final season. They seem to have a theme going that Dexter's true soul is being revealed. He has been able to hide behind the dark passenger, but now two people know who he is and accepts him. Was three, but the mobster is gone now, but he accepted and helped Dexter come to understand himself more. All this makes it a different world for Dexter.

Now he also have LaGuarda (sp?) on his trail, and Dexter has emotions. Emotions make you careless.

What I find odd, is that the Ukraine Mafia will still be out to get Dexter. They know he killed their two assassins.

So what I generalize is : Dexter finds acceptance, emotions and is being pursued and he does not know it. Dexter is out of control and that is dangerous.

Not sure how I felt about tonight's episode. Dex taking out the contract killer at the gun range was cool, but not his usual syle of killing. Helping Sirko also seemed out of character. Deb barging into the house and saving Hannah seems like a loose end, given she had no legal reason for being there, and I said that before Hannah called her out on it. The new arson story line seems kind of thrown in as filler, with not a lot of time left to resolve it this season.

I want someone to kill LaGuerta to end that story line.

Not necessarily. They know the assassins are gone, and that Sirko has disappeared. They have no idea Dexter helped him since they think he and Dexter were after each other.

I know the guy from the strip club saw them at the same place, but that isn't proof they were working together.

I am sure Hannah will take care of snooping police chief.

It's been a really long time since I read the first book, but if I'm not mistaken, LaGuerta was killed off in the first book by the Ice Truck Killer when she was on to Dexter. Maybe coming full circle to bring that portion of the book back into play? Substituting Hannah for his brother?

The look Hannah gave at the end seems to suggest she's going to turn on Dexter, so I don't see her lasting past this season

I read the first book about 5 years ago and had completely forgotten about that. Also I believe the first book ended a bit different with the ice truck killers storyline.

Another spoiler.

After the first season, the series doesn't follow the books at all, period. So if the end of this whole Showtime series, if LaGuerta does actually end up dead, the only thing spoiled is that you now know that you don't have to wait through 6 or 7 books before her annoying ass gets offed. That, and no matter how many times they describe Deb in the book, you'll still be stuck picturing Jennifer Carpenter's bony ass because you watched the show before reading the books.

Really dude, please don't mention spoilers from the books. How do you know the writers won't decide to add things later from the books? This is a thread for discussing the latest episode and theories about a TV show. Have some respect for your fellow Aggies and just don't post spoilers.

I can skip reading your post because I see the spoiler warning, but then ever post after yours can start referring to your spoiler and I get the series potentially ruined for me. No need to call someone names because he/she wants to enjoy a tv series and has every right to.

Jesus Christ, get over it. Even if the writers do decide to add some elements back into the show from the books it can't be a real spoiler because there's no way to know when and if it'll ever happen. I mean seriously, if we were still in season 1 of the series I could see getting upset about it because it's the only book that the series even remotely followed. Hell, there are only 6 books and this is season 7. If the one little incident I mentioned from the first book hasn't come to fruition in 7 seasons of the show it's not a ****ing spoiler to the series and barely a spoiler to the book considering the main plot of the whole book is spoiled if you've watched the series.
