After two very mediocre seasons in a row, I'm looking for them to return to previous form. Alan Sepinwall said through the first 3 episodes, things are looking much better than the last couple seasons.

I'd let Deb sit on my face.

Looking good!

Liked the episode tonight quite a bit. Couple thoughts:

-Really didn't like seeing Mike go. I really liked his character.
-I hope the whole Deb/Dexter distrust issues do not drag (as in Skylar and Walt in BB) - I've never been a huge Deb fan and don't like anything that gives her more screen time to complain
-I feel like we have been waiting forever to find out what the intern/boyfriend's play is
-More Vince!

Really looking forward to next week.

I guess laguerta is going to make it a personal hunt for the bay harbor butcher.

The boyfriend's play is definitely interesting.

It seems like there will be 3 main story arcs. Deb and Dexter's struggle, whatever that may intel; Laguerta's search for the bay harbor butcher; and the boyfriend's play.

Also, did anyone else wonder what the significance of that bracelet the Ukrainian was wearing? They dove to deeply into that story which makes me think it is some way to track him and may point the russian mafia towards looking to find who killed him. Possible 4th story arc.

Man, do I ever love Dexter. I only disliked one season so far and that was Season 3. I liked last years. It wasn't the best but I looked forward to it.

Season 1 and 2 were some of the best tv of all time.

Good first episode. I am definitely interested.

Since Debra is his ex wife now, does Dexter beg to kill her every week :>

My husband is at work and I just watched it and called him to tell him that Pullo is in Dexter this season. Awesome!

Yeah, I definitely was curious about that. They made too much of a point to show him take it off her wrist before leaving her and then again just before Dexter disposed of him. While I doubt it was any sort of tracking device, I can only assume it was what got the girl killed in the first place and what he was bringing back to the Ukraine. Maybe some sort of USB storage device hidden in it with information they wanted. Either way, whatever it was is going to be gone for good and I assume they are going to be searching for it.

Awesome episode, and what a great ending. This season should be fantastic.

Please let Dex kill Deb. Please.

The whole Banjo story line broke my heart

Good start. I'm glad they didn't drag out the "OK, so Deb knows I killed a guy, but it was a one time screw up" lie/storyline very long.

Agreed. I was kind of worried that the entire season was going to involve her watching his every move and second guessing everything. So happy they got that **** out of the way first episode.

Excited about the season premier. I can't wait until next Sunday to see what happens. Unfortunately, I don't see Deb getting slayed by Dexter anytime soon.

Because in the third book the author decided that Dexter's Dark Passenger was an ancient demon spirit that jumped from body to body from the beginning of time in order to explain his urge to kill. But it got frightened by an even worse demon spirit and left him all alone for a good portion of the book. I can't remember all the details and honestly wish I didn't remember that much. Basically took an original concept and successful formula from the first 2 books and twisted it into a supernatural abortion.

Anyone else think that Deb & Dexter will develop a Commisioner Gordon & Batman relationship? Basically that she'll let him take care of the dirty work.

I see Deb getting even more annoying and trying to constantly keep tabs on Dex.

Not sure why some here think they put the Deb distrust/questioning storyline to bed. Every moment of her interaction with Dexter fixated on that. She could not/would not let it go.

Also, given Baskov's ties to the Russian mob and, subsequently, to the club operator already introduced (who operates the club where the killed stripper worked) ... that arc could play prominently for a number of episodes as well.
