Tim Reynolds. I was warned on TexAgs that it wouldn't be what I thought, but I had nothing else to do. Saw Tim in the street before the show. About 40 of us there. The first song was basically combined with a lot of anti-war animation. At the time I was about to deploy or had just gotten back...then he tried to sing...after that I got tired of listening to this crap, so I left.

Worst:
In '89 (I think) Senead O' Connoer played about 3 or so songs in Austin before she walked off the stage. It was a great 15 minutes, but I still want my money back.

Rage Against the Machine

They sucked REALLY bad live.

I disagree with Rage, but diffrent strokes for diffrent folks. RATM is still one of my top 3.

The absolute sh*ttiest i have seen in a good while was the Blood Brothers as an opening band. While i know i didnt pay to see the opening band per-se, but jesus tapdancing christ they were terrible.

Puddle of Mudd has always been chalkboard gratingly terrible... again.. saw them as an opener for Deftones way back.

I walked out on The Bravery, smashmouth, and countless "no names."

different strokes, but rage sucking live? did you see the same band I've seen? I've seen them multiple times and they were nowhere near bad.

oh, and the worst was The Pocket Fisherman. I can't even begin to describe how bad that show was.

Boxcar Racer was probably the worst live show I've ever seen from any band I at least somewhat liked

The worst show ever was from some crappy band that opened for Brand new (Color Revolt or something like that, I don't know, I try to shut them out of my mind)

I've left plenty early but not because of bad music that I know of.

Many many many I wanted to but couldn't.

Smashmouth is freaking god awful live. One of the worst bands I've ever seen.

We walked out of The Bravery at SXSW, right? My memory that weekend is pretty hazy.

Oh and there's been plenty of shows that I've left because they were horrible, but all but a small handful of them were openers for a headliner I wanted to see. I usually just go to a part of the club/venue where I can't hear them and come back for the next band's set.

I also walked out on Tim Reynolds. His show is just really boring. Space guitar sounds with no talking for two hours is brutal.

And Smashmouth is just terrible, period. No need to add the "live" qualifier.

But they looked ok on Rat Race

either 90 or 91, Scorpions had Mr Big and Great White opening for them in Seattle (Crazy World tour). Mr Big was wretched and getting booed. I was about 20 feet from the stage and lobbed a wad of redman which hit the lead singer almost dead center on his white t-shirt. Dude just stopped singing, flipped off the crowd and walked off.

Keep in mind I was only 17 or so and I do not condone such actions, but at 17 in the middle of a roaring, booing crowd, it seemed like the thing to do.

Freshman year, First Yell, Reed Arena

Martin ****ing Short.

Man that guys sucks, came out as his Gimeny Glick sp* routine. and highlights of father of the bride playing on a screen above him. worthless POS act I've ever seen.

Hate to say it, because liked her music, but Linda Ronstadt.

This was in the 80s. Just sat on stool and sang. Very boring.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra...

I don't mind them playing in the background, and the lighting setup was really cool... but they really need to step out of the 80s and the "pour some sugar on me"-esque woman dancing was a bit much for me.

95% of the people I have told about this tell me "TSO rocks!"... apparently, I just don't get it.

I walked out on The Toadies at ACL.

I heard the 2 songs I knew by them, and it was really hot. So I went to sit under the tent and drink beer and wait for PJ.

2%er. I saw the Toadies last December and they were great.

It was indoors, though.

Never in my life have I heard someone make this statement.

I walked out on David Lee Roth about 3 songs into his set when he played with Sammy Hagar a few years back. He was absolutely terrible and looked a like an idiot up there. I had seen him open for Bad Company several years before and was surprised and how good he was then.

I knew 2 songs, and Mookie and Sheep dog were hot.

Anybody who paid to see Smashmouth should have been forced to sit through their show. I know different strokes for different folks, but IMHO they are EASILY the worst band of the past 30 years to have made it 'big'.

As for shows I've walked out on? Only one. Junior Brown a couple of years ago at Antone's in Austin. He was hammered and the show SUCKED. I think we left after about 4 songs.

I just remembered another one: David Allan Coe at Billy Bob's. He was three sheets to the wind and didn't finish a single song. We walked out after he couldn't quite make it through Please Come to Boston.

Blue October at Shadow Canyon back in 2001 or 2002 I think. There were less than 100 people there. They were the headliner that night, but everyone showed up for one of the opening acts. After that band finished, most people left.

Bob Dylan. Seen him three times and walked out the third time.

Come see the Toadies on Dec. 30th at the newly reopened Trees. My husband's band is opening for them.

Probably a dozen or so no-name bands at bars or very small venues. I can't say I ever walked out of a major big-name concert.

I flipped off Trent Reznor of NIN during a small venue concert yeeaaarrrs ago. He had graphic screne behind him that had a fadout of Ronald Reagan into Bozo the Clown. He kept singing and punctuated the end with "...and f*** the guy in back shooting me the finger..."

i saw coheed and cambria along with avenged sevenfold a few years ago in houston. a7x put on a pretty good show. i don't know if it was their sound setup or some wizardry in the studio, but the lead singer of coheed couldn't get anywhere near or hold the notes that he does in the the studio releases. it sounded like absolute ****. i left four songs into their set.

Blind Melon opening up for Neil Young at the Woodlands in '93. Shannon Hood stood up straight by the mic and just spoken worded all their songs.

they were playing at a festival. I "walked out" by going elsewhere to not listen them. I didn't pay to see them, I was there for other bands.
