As for shows I've walked out on? Only one. Junior Brown a couple of years ago at Antone's in Austin. He was hammered and the show SUCKED. I think we left after about 4 songs.

I may have been at this show as well. I saw Junior Brown around '08 at Antone's. I remember him showing up very very late and just being okay. Was there with others and didn't know a lick of his sound or music, so didn't really remember if he was drunk or not.

Worst band I've seen was Puddle of Mudd at the Family Values concert in 2001.

Went to see the Metallica/GNR tour at Texas Stadium (92/93?). Faith No More and Metallica were flippin' awesome. Got about 1.5 songs into GNR and was about to fall asleep. Boooring. Left along with a out half the audience.

Worst was probably Turnpike when they headlined Musicfest in Steamboat Springs. Would have been January 2015, I think - around the time Evan Felker was in the thick of all his issues. They were in the big tent and dude messed up every line of the first song they played. I remember being quite inebriated and trying to sing along and thinking "man, I can't believe I messed up that line…" only to realize he was the one singing the wrong lyrics.

Eventually Evan just stood up there while the band played and the crowd sang all the songs. It was rough.

Lumineers at ACL last year. Terribly boring. Especially in a festival setting. I think I made it through about 3 songs before calling it quits.

I saw G n' R in '92 at The Summit and the place was a freakin' madhouse. Don't remember anyone leaving.

Saw the Zombies and Brian Wilson in Vegas. The Zombies were phenomenal, but Brian Wilson has absolutely lost it. Like embarrassingly so. Propped up behind a piano while his band, which included his son and Al Jardin's son, carried the load. He tried to sing God Only Knows and that's when it got so bad we had to leave.

Also saw the Stadium Tour a few years ago with Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison, and Joan Jett.
Three of the four were great, but Crue was terrible. Vince couldn't sing and forgot words, so they mic'd the bass and drums up to painful levels to cover it up. Compared to how good the others sounded, it was obvious that it wasn't just a stadium sound kind of error; it was intentional.

I've heard that Motley Crue has always been a terrible live band.

To be fair, anyone other than Carl Wilson singing God Only Knows is a travesty.

I walked out on The Toadies at ACL.

I heard the 2 songs I knew by them, and it was really hot. So I went to sit under the tent and drink beer and wait for PJ.

Damn. Me too.

30 Seconds to Mars at House of Blues in Dallas sometime around 2010-2012ish. It may have been the end of the tour or something, but Jared Leto hardly sang and regularly prompted the crowd to sing by pointing the microphone toward the audience.

It could have been because we were just fatigued from FNM and Metallica. They opened up with Axl on the Piano and after hours of headbanging and screaming, I just couldn't take it.

I was at this Kings of Leon concert back in 2011 at the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas. The lead singer Caleb Followill was so wasted and could barely talk. They played 3 songs and then the Followill said he was going to go puke and come back to finish the concert. He never came back and the house lights/music came up. People were so pissed. His bandmates were telling everyone to "Hate Caleb, not us" and encouraged the crowd to burn their records. I say they played 3 songs, but for at least half of one of them Followill just held the microphone up so the crowd could sing for him. People were chanting Kings of Ripoff as we exited. They later went on to cancel their remaining tour and took an extended hiatus for a few years.

I wasn't really pissed because my cousin had really wanted to go and bought my ticket (they refunded everyone). Plus we got to see fun. who was the opener. It was really surreal and kinda funny. At the time we thought we had just witnessed the break up of what was a pretty popular band near their peak, especially when the other bandmates released an album with an new group.

I've seen some pretty wretched openers at club shows, but I always powered through them because I was waiting for the headliners.

One I bet will be unique on this board. I've been to a bunch of Southern Gospel concerts at churches (my dad sang tenor in a group for 3 decades). I saw Guy Penrod (formerly with Bill Gaither's group) at Sagemont Church in Houston once, and that guy was...on something. He sounded decent when he sang, but it was his banter in between songs that really seemed strange. I nearly left because watching and listening to him was really uncomfortable. I was embarrassed for him.

At another concert there, I saw a different singer who noticed a couple of guys get up and leave in between songs and said they were deacons going outside for a smoke.

caleb fought alcohol demons for sure but got over the booze.

Sucks that happened especially since that was a tour for IMO their best album Come Around Sundown.

They released Mechanical Bull 2 years later and have since released three more.

I am going to their Houston show this August. But I am biased.

Somehow they were pretty good when I saw them open for Ozzy in 83, even though this was one of the most notorious partying rockers tours ever. They were just getting popular at that point though.

Odd to see the church I grew up in mentioned in a resurrected 15 year old thread about bad concerts. I was in the nursery the day the church opened it's doors.

This may not count, but I literally fell asleep during Elvis Costello, I think it was 2018 or 2019 at Bethel Woods (outdoor concert venue at the Woodstock site).

I also left a Junior Brown show in NYC about 20 years ago.

Kansas. Hated to do it, but we waited about an hour after they were scheduled to start and nothing. It was hot and people were getting pissed. Bad combo. As soon as I hit the parking lot, of course, I heard the show start. My Uncle Wayne was taking a dump in the RV. I told him not to do that but old folks don't listen. Waste of time.

Back in the mid-80's, a girl I was dating REALLY wanted to go see Culture Club. That was the single lamest concert I've ever attended. I wanted to leave early, but stayed for the whole thing.

My sacrifice and dedication did not pay off.

Walked out of a Disturbed concert because the ******** singer started ranting about Bush.

Walked out of Ozzy as the headliner of Ozzfest because when they played the song War Pigs they showed pictures of US troops on the big screen.

Robert Earl Keen circa 2001-2002. He was drunk as hell. We left early - my sophomore GF loved her some REK. lol
