So was anyone else explaining to their SO about Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation that Sheldon was teaching? Maybe my wife was the only one ignoring me.

By the by am I the only one that's jealous of all the cool **** they have in their apartment? I want that DNA helix every time I see it and just noticed a huge Rubik's cube last episode.

Penny and Leonard's mom was pretty funny. "I've been responsible for my own buzz since 2003."
It wasn't near as good as last year's Christmas episode (which happens to be on next Monday night), but not too bad.

Penny has got to be the greatest girlfriend in the history of girlfriends. The crap she can take and just blow off from all these eggheads is unlike anything you would see in real life. Lenard would be out on his ear after some of the things his mom said to Penny.
Am I the only one who wanted to see deeper argument over the merits of Sir Isaac Newton v. Gottfried Leibniz as the inventor of calculus?

Dough, it wasn't completely unexpected. Now it's kind of a running joke. Have you seen the previous episode she was in when she described Howard and Raj's friendship as an "ersatz homosexual relationship"? This is what she was referring to.

Entertainment Weekly had an article some time this year about all their stuff and how they rotate certain things in on the set. A quick search didn't yield any results but I'm sure if you are really interested you can find it.
That helix was something nuts like $2500 or something.
Season 2 - "The Maternal Capacitance". Really funny episode. I believe she was nominated for an Emmy for the appearance.

Even for someone who had seen the season 2 episode, it was great how she just picked right up where she left off with those two before.

I really liked this week's episode. It wasn't as great as last year's Christmas episode, but it was still really good. I wish they hadn't shown the kiss in the promos I saw though, that would have been a great surprise.

When I said "they", I just meant "whoever does the promos." I assume CBS is the responsible party.

I no longer read the episode descriptions or watch commercials for the show for just that reason. The episode where Sheldon was using positive reinforcement to train Penny was the episode that started me on that.

But they haven't shown her.
Chuck Lorre's big break was on Roseanne, but he hated her, and was fired from the show. I would be surprised if the relationship between the two of them was good enough for them to work together again.
