Looks like a new episode tomorrow night. I wonder why they seem to skip every other week lately?

It was a new episode tonight, followed by an old one.

The new one was pretty good, but the old one nearly killed me I was laughing so hard. It was the one where Sheldon doesn't sleep because he's trying to figure out some physics thing. I hadn't seen this one before, and I was literally in pain watching Leonard chase him around the ball pit at the Chuck E. Cheese.

The new episode was decent. Penny and Sheldon's relationship started off funny then it just got weird...

ya this week's episode wasn't gelling quite well.

I agree that this week's episode was a bit lack luster. Still quality stuff, but not on par with some of their earlier episodes this season. The whole splitting time with Sheldon got a little old.

I loved the "Team Leonard" sign that Sheldon gave...I literally laughed until commercial.

That is the same loser sign that we flashed each other in college across the club at our friends when they got a little tipsy and started lowering their standards...the higher the "L", the bigger the loser until you had one waving at them in the air because they were with the biggest losers of all. (just like tech fans do at every ball game)

+1. I had missed this one earlier in the year and lost it at the ball pit part, that was effing hilarious.

This show was cast so amazingly well. It really could've fallen very flat if not for the perfect casting for each role. Sheldon has definitely become the break out star even though I think it was really more a vehicle for Leonard and Penny since they're the only ones who had significant television experience before. But either way, they are totally believeable in these roles, could've been total cheese without them.

They had "Jackie" and "Darlene" from Roseanne on already, I'd love to see John Goodman show up in some capacity. He can be very funny.

Yeah I don't think John Goodman is for this, but who should be cast for Sheldon's father?

Is Sheldon the next Fonzie or Urkel?

No, I meant a supporting character that stole the show, not similarities in character.

I do have a question though. If Raj can't speak to any women, (and I've certainly missed some episodes each season, so maybe he has) seemingly including Penny. How is it that he's had sex? He mentioned it being over a year.

How does he engage any woman if he can't speak to them?

he can talk to women when he's drinking/drunk

Not saying Goodman would have to be cast as a parent, I'd like to see him in some capacity though. However, given how geeky these guys are, I think having a really macho big guy could actually work.

But, good point, who would be a good choice for Sheldon's father?

Again, I've missed some episodes, but what has been said about his father if anything to this point? I kind of remember something about his dad really liking football and being kinda macho or am I making that up?

Would they make him as intelligent as Sheldon or go the other route of "ordinary dude". This is why I think a Goodman type character might work. Sheldon is from Texas... a good old boy former football player would seem logical.

This was probably their worst episode I thought. The 1st half was pretty funny but the Leonard/Penny fighting over Sheldon was just cliche.


Sheldon did make it worth watching.

The only thing that made me laugh in this whole episode was when Penny said "You're just coitusing with me."

When Wolowitz and Leonard showed up at Raj's place, all I could think of was, "I'm here for the gangbang," Old School style. Raj pulled a good move on the others though.

You could have John Goodman as another visiting professor. Heck, he's playing an English prof in Treme.

am i the only one that thinks the whole break up with leonard and penny was kind of forced? it seemed like they just wanted to break them up quickly and move on. i thought they were actually good together.

Sheldon continues to humor me... his over organizaition for her stay was hilarious. escape plans, feminie products, the guy is hilarious.

Jim Parsons just nails him. He makes him so believeable, many actors would just play him so over the top it wouldn't work as well. I actually believe in Sheldon. Just an amazing portrayal.
