Upgraded (downgraded) from improper relationship with a student. Coach Randy Sherman.

This girl was on my daughter's team last year. She was 16 at the time of the assult. She had been going over to his house for "visits".

My daughter always said this coach gave her the creeps and stayed away from him.

He had been accused for improper relationships with students at Grandview and Burleston and was asked to resign. This is why Carroll hired him at a rock bottom rate even at the expense of our kids.

May he rot in hell.

Sounds like he needs another chance...being this is only his third time!

One of those big-roller parents should hire a hitman.

I'd be extremely pissed at the AD and school board for letting this happen. Was it known that's why he was asked to step down? That's unacceptable if it was.

I personally think he needs to be denutified!

i never will understand why this type of person gets a second chance to work with kids when they have already had problems. more times then not, they do it again.

Per the recent rulings by courts all over the country (but especially Florida), he should have his license taken away and put on 3 years probation.

Carroll had no business hiring the bum...and rock-bottom salary should have been the least of the school's excuses (too many Hummers in the student lot). if he has a history, history would say it will repeat itself...

too many good old boys in the CISD AD, in my opinion...my vote goes to Drawn and Quartered: Deguello.

We had a computer tech guy at our trucking company that had just moved from Ohio. He was a coach there at a high school. You know the rest of the story.

He ended up getting 8 years in the state prison for 3 or 4 'improper relationships'. That was like 4 years ago. I wonder if he'll make it out alive.

i'll bet she was hot as hell, and i'll also bet that every male teacher/coach at Carroll walks around with a woodrow a good part of the time.

I also think it's interesting that if a 16 year old male basketball player was banging a hot female coach, we'd be high-fiving him while sentencing her to probation. but when the role is reversed, we have one vote for rotting in hell, one vote for castration, one vote for shooting, one vote to draw & quarter him, and one vote to hang him.

Dimmick brings up a valid point. It will be interesting to see what the good 'ole boy network in Southlake will do to this guy.

WOW. I read that heading way too fast. I was scared that it said men's coach. Coach White was my husband's old coach at West. Most stand-up family guy around.

That is too bad that the girls' coach is like that.

It was only 100 years ago that girls were ready to be married off at 14.

Not that it makes it right, but that guy shouldn't have put himself in that position if he knew he had a problem doing young girls.

While there's no doubt that this guy is a creep, I do find it interesting that there's a double standard on when a person is able to make their own decisions. By calling it a sexual assault despite her consent, we're implying that she is not mature enough to make the decision to have sex with this man, yet so many people would be clamoring for her to be tried as an adult if she had just murdered someone.

With that said, I am shocked that any school would hire a man with this kind of record. One offense is more than enough to revoke his certification.

Wait, so if he's in jail, does that mean she's available now?
