Was thinking 50 bucks a day? Then rounding up so 50 x 7 = 350.

( Water plants, walk / feed dog , bring in mail, spend night )

Can come and go as she wishes.

We were out of the country for nine days last month. I paid the girl $500 for doing that same thing.

If she's staying and walking the dog daily, you'll be getting a good deal at $500

If just feeding/checking on the dogs, $10-$15 per dog per trip. It still much less expensive than the pet resorts but if we're gone for more than 2-3 days, I just put them in a resort. It's like a vacation for them. Whenever they see us packing, they line up at the door waiting to go.

Getting a reliable Pet Sitter has been a tough issue for us at times. We have 2 horses, 6 chickens, 1 rooster, 5 cats, and 3 dogs. We pay $100 per day, but generally add a tip to that as well.

I think you're good to go in my opinion.

A few weeks ago I paid $75 for 3 visits for a Saturday for my 3 Beagles including a feed. No walks, just play time in our yard.

I think that is just fine for a high schooler. My daughter generally gets paid $20-$25 a day for 2 dogs but she just has to go over there (next door) 3-4 times a day and not for long.

A friend of mine was house/pet sitting for a family that lived out of the country a couple months every year. She burnt their house down on accident. I don't think she got a tip.
