Peddle something today.

Dog walked, Dr Pepper Zero for breakfast. Work. Supposed to get rain this weekend, might lay down some fertilizer first, but still a little early. Need to order some top dressing soil to do some leveling, and may start air sealing and upgrading attic insulation. Also probably need to call someone for poison ivy abatement. Full weekend of fun.

Watched Netflix movie 'The Professionals' circa 1966

Checked on new bell pepper and tomato plants out back-- no critters munching on them, yet

Drove to Bill Miller for 2 sausage and potato tacos for wife's taco Friday. Took dog with me for a wannagobyebyeinthecar treat.

Mow grass and put up outdoor lights later, then fix falling closet shelving

  • Looking extra cute this morning
  • 2nd gen iPod is back in action since I figured out how to force a software update on it
  • Bunch o' meetings this morning where we go over presentations that will be in meetings next week
  • No big plans for this evening
  • I need to book tickets to TX for this summer already, and look into running up to NJ in early July if possible
  • Maybe swing by WV and PA to pick up a couple more states, bringing me up to 41 visited?

That actually happened once. It was super weird and we were afraid the wife was going to come burn the place down.

My first thought was maybe he's trying to create an alibi (because I watch too many true crime shows). The only thing I know for sure is the guy is a personal injury attorney in Dallas

You didn't miss anything - I was away for a while.

The bridge run was cool! Nothing like getting together with 40,000 of your closest friends to go for a quick 10K. It was way crowded, and I tacked on a lot of extra distance zig-zagging the uphill part to go around all of the walkers. My fiance wasn't feeling good, and Ubers were like $100 to get off the peninsula + a super long wait so I just ran the extra miles to get home. Between the bridge run and everything else I broke 20 miles for the day.

7/10, will do again next year but hopefully with a qualifying 10K time that will get me in the sub-hour group so I'll maybe be with people who actually run the uphill part of the bridge.

When I worked on-campus in a Vice President's office (1996-2002), our accountant once called a hotel in DC with a question about his bill. Turned out that he never checked in. One of the Director's did some digging and learned that his first wife (who lived in DC) had become his mistress. That's why he was making so many trips there.

BTW, this guy left A&M (under pressure) before I left that office.

I've got an iPod mini that died. Pretty sure it's whatever little drive is in there.

Not sure if there is any hope for it. And the computer it was associated with, back when you had to assign it to one computer to dump music to it, is long since dead.

Stayed home again today. Feeling better but doc had said if I go in to work I would need to mask up in case I was still contagious. No thanks.

Should be good to go tomorrow.

Classmate I've known since 6th grade is riding the MS-150 on a team from his company. He wants to meet at Northgate after the finish on Sunday.

Son is coming in for his birthday this weekend. He turns 25. It went by in a flash between his birth and 25 years.

Registered to win a house. $100 per ticket. They have opportunities in multiple cities. Maybe I can win all over the country and have a rental empire/place to crash so I can be more like JMac and Nervy! They seem smart and stuff!

Need to play guitar. But chores are plentiful so I'm doing those.
