"Airborne" nut allergies are BS. I get these patients in the ER claiming this all the time. I once had one claiming just passing peanut butter jars in the aisle at a grocery store caused them to have anaphylaxis…she did not have anaphylaxis. The individuals claiming these type of reactions tend to have a lot of psychiatric comorbid conditions, the most prominent being anxiety.
