And now it's the Simpsons. Kids these days don't get the references. My 12 year old asked me what the joke with the bumblebee character in the Simpsons is and why does it speak Spanish. Had to explain to him that back in ye old days Spanish tv channel would have a variety show all day on Saturday and these kind of colorful characters would be on it (atleast that's my understanding)

Surprised he didn't ask why did you watch Spanish TV all day when you don't even speak Spanish. I think that question may come up in a few more years.

I made a Rosanna Rosanna Danna reference to a just-out-of-college employee about 10 years ago.

He gave me the blank dog-tilts-head-at-odd-sound look.

He had no idea about ANY of the original SNL lineup or bits. I wanted to cry.
