Why would you mix those two? I guess I don't understand drugs.

"Cut" to me has always meant "extemded" with something that would add volume/weight. Not something in micrograms that increases the potency and not so much weight.Bunk Moreland said:CrottyKid said:

A lot of people dying from fentanyl are buying cocaine that has been cut with fentanyl without their knowledge.

Makes the cocaine more addictive so the users will come back for more.Bunk Moreland said:B-1 83 said:"Cut" to me has always meant "extemded" with something that would add volume/weight. Not something in micrograms that increases the potency and not so much weight.Bunk Moreland said:CrottyKid said:

Yes I agree. I don't know why it's happening either but it appears to be the case.

Could be. Or with the free flow of fentanyl biden is inviting through the wide open border, perhaps the Feds are adding fentanyl to the cocaine to kill the users and then surviving users kill their dealers in retribution. The war on drugs fought another way!toucan82 said:

Or the Chinese are giving the fentanyl to the cartels for free to increase the drug problem in America.one safe place said:Could be. They can use very cheap binding agents and sprinkle in a little fentanyl. If you stretch 1 kilo of coke with fentanyl you could yield several kilos of a highly addictive psuedo coke. The user gets high and the dealer sells a lot more product. The fentanyl is also highly addictive and a lot easier to smuggle.dabo man said:
I now fentanyl is cheap, but it's cheaper to cut cocaine with it than baby laxative?
Not being familiar with either one, I had no idea fentanyl was cheaper than coke. I thought the opposite, so that would explain my line of thought.ABATTBQ11 said:B-1 83 said:"Cut" to me has always meant "extemded" with something that would add volume/weight. Cut could mean a lot of things when referring to cocaine being "cut" with other substances. Cut as a verb can mean to shape or form, so "cutting" cocaine with other substances could mean to form it into an end product with other substances. On the other hand, it can mean to separate, so "cutting" cocaine with other substances could mean separating a part of it to mix and dilute with other substances. It could also mean a little bit of both.
In any case, the purpose of the fentanyl is to increase the potency of the high. Cocaine is expensive, whereas fentanyl is cheap. If a dealer or supplier can deliver the same high with less cocaine because they're mixing it with cheaper fentanyl, their margins go up. They can mix other substances in to add weight, but they don't want diluted cocaine that produces a diluted high that their buyers don't want.
