You people don't watch many documentaries if you think none of them have a point to make.

Sure you did. You implied that they were equivalent.

I believe that my comparison was sandwiched in between a reference about how listening to both sides is good and how I do, indeed,listen to both sides.
My choice of names was really based on this... Ask a more liberal person to sum up the right wing in one name, you would probably hear many Limbaugh responses. Ask a more conservative person to identify the epitome of the left and you would likely hear Michael Moore as a response.

Seriously though Jay, you should see it (buy a ticket to The Terminal and sneak in if you want to keep your money out of Moore's pocket). It will probably feed your dislike for the liberals even more and get you pumped up for the coming D / R National Conventions and of course, the election.

Are you sure there is only one congress persons child over there...or is it just enlisted men? Does that include officers, and damn them for not forcing their children to join up. Last I heard, and I could be wrong, the military was an all volunteer force.

I had a convo with the GF at lunch about this. Moore is an expert at taking half truths and making them appear to be fact...this way his target audience (i.e. stupid people) soak it up and spit it back out to anyone that will listen.

I am relaying what the documentary said (and this was at the time that he filmed it), but in various news reports about the film I have seen confirmation that this is true.

Welcome to the world of politics...If you think this is something that only one side does you are much more delusioned then you come across...

For those people who think the movie is so full of crap, why not see it for yourself and draw your own opinions rather then listening to a bunch of talking heads...

I'm guessing the doc is referring to actively assigned in the war zones, I must have relayed incorrectly, I apologize. I am sure Moore indicated the correct #, as one of the Congressmen he talked to agreed.
Regardless, only 7 is a pretty poor showing by our leadership.

Why do I have to see the film to have credibility? Moore is admittedly making a movie (not a documentary) to try and unseat Bush. He has said it himself; that was the point of making the film. Moore had already shown that he will corrupt, slant, bias, twist, manipulate facts to make his point. He will stop at nothing to make you see his point. Do I need to watch a movie to learn this?

Have all of you folks that are pushing his agenda given equal time/depth to the other side of Moore's points? Are you even aware that there is another side?

The only way to have credbility the far left is to agree with them. Same goes for the far right. Same as its always been.

I would consider propoganda filmaking a subset of documentary filmaking. Thus implying that Moore's film is indeed a documentary.

You didn't relay it wrongly, you took what you saw in a movie and relayed it to others.

The problem is people will take what he says in his film as truth when it is not.

However low it is, 7 is moore than 1.

he also asked them to push their kids into joining. One Congressman told him his son had two kids...like that is a reason?
