The economics of the area says you're wrong. I'm well aware that the Heights is more liberal than conservative. However this area, as far as real estate investing, is one of the best in Harris county.

I'm not worried about living around a bunch of white apologist liberals. I just want to annoy them a bit.

Get vinyl letter A stickers the same size as the O on the sign and just go around slapping A's on the signs to change it to Beta.

Too many RING cameras these days to do stuff like that. Those damn things have really taken the fun out of Adult 'Ding, Dong, Ditch' where you just run around the neighborhood with a few beers in hand to have some fun.

Surely there's a similar sign for Rafael Cruz, amirite?
Those signs tend to focus on the fact that he's the zodiac killer.

Is it possible to not live in Harris County and still keep your job?

I love the Heights. Wasn't talking about that.

I liked it back in the day when you didn't know if your friends/ neighbors were Liberal or Conservative. This new wave of idiocy is unbearable.

Pre-COVID I was traveling internationally fairly often and the convenience of IAH to go to LATAM and Asia was a huge reason I chose Houston. Now, it is more that I've created a life here and have other business ventures in the city. Leaving Harris isn't really an option with my other obligations now.

To be fair (*to be faaaaiiiirrrr*), I judge people that put out campaign sings to be narcissistic idiots whether they are liberal or conservative.

The Heights is a pretty damn good neighborhood in Houston. It is just packed with a bunch of liberals and I'm sure as hell not moving to the boonies of Harris county
Before I opened the thread my first thought was "I bet OP moved to the Heights." lol

You can thank Abbott, Patrick, and Paxton for the surge in Beto signs. These guys really seem to be doing their damnedest to turn Texas blue.

They really are doing their best to run off the middle ground folks like me. The national party keeping attached to Trumps bloated deranged corpse isn't helping either. I am not going blue, but they make it real hard to vote red.
Paxton is proof that millions of people vote for a letter rather than for a candidate.

Between that and the trump flags it is a banner to know where the crazies from both sides of the divide live. Never really understood putting political signs in your yard, like because you put it in your yard it will some how convince your neighbors that they should vote the same way you do, when in reality more often than not (for me) it almost makes me do the opposite and vote the opposite of the sign.

Campaign signs and bumper stickers. Just stupid.

I don't care who someone is voting for. And your sign or sticker isn't going to convince me to change my vote.

Anyone dumb enough to change their vote based on a sign or sticker should not be allowed to vote is they are that easily swayed.

For me, voting is about name recognition. If I'm looking at the ballot and I see a name that I know, I'm gonna vote for that person. Like, oh yeah, I saw a sign or a bumper sticker or whatever with that name, so yes, I will vote for that name because I know it.

If you think weed should be legal, and that victims of incest/rape should be able to get abortions, and that cops need to be held accountable for their ****ty actions, you might as well be a pinko commie according to these people.

These things shouldn't even be on the dumb**** political radar. It should be entirely about spending, entitlements, our border and sound fiscal policy. Abortions and weed matter not one bit imo when the rest of the country is crumbling around us. I hate that the national debate is about sumbass social issues.

Govt employees of all types should be held accountable for anything and everything they do. It sickens me all of the waste and laziness I witnessed as a govt employee. So glad to be gone now.

Latinos have used more western names for years upon years. Well before Rafael Cruz was even a twinkle in his bat **** crazy dad's eye. How many Irish people do you know that commonly adopt a hispanic name?
