I used to post on the GB a decade or more ago; mostly lurk now. I don't know him personally, but he was always a favorite. I'm so sorry to hear this. He was one of the good guys.

I joined TA in 07, and back in those days he and I used to clash on just about everything, and it was always dumb, insignificant stuff. And I doubt he would even remember any of it.

But as I've gotten older, and based on his posting in the past couple years, I know we would have gotten along great in real life. He seemed like a genuinely good guy and a fun dude to grab a beer with.

I offer my sympathies to all of you who called him a friend.

I seriously doubt he ever met a stranger. I'm still in shock, and miss him terribly right now even though we've only exchanged electronic messages over the last few years. I know the world is now deprived of some great future contributions from him... I thought he was on a great professional path with a bright future, and his personal life seemed to be in sync as well. RIP, my friend.

The good news is that Chris knew and loved the Lord and I firmly believe he is in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The bad news is we will not get to see Chris for a while and will miss him terribly. But I know I will see him again.

Oh no, I am so sorry to hear this. I always enjoyed having a fellow Yankee to trade bon mots with. Met him at some tailgates back in the day with Caramel Twix (are you here??) and her bunch.

RIP to a super nice friendly guy with all the sarcasms. I am so sorry to all his loved ones and friends.

Just sad that he succumbed to whatever demons he had inside of him. I only know him based on his internet persona. Although he does come off as a bit arrogant, I thought it was mostly an act for shts and grins. It was never mean-spirited.
