**** this one stings too. We've lost two good friends this year

I am in shock. He stopped talking to me a few years ago but I will always consider him a good friend. Such a kind heart, I hate this.

He seemed to have more going for him than most people do, but you never know what was going on in the background.

This is shocking, even as just a longtime lurker on this site. It looks like he was actively working on projects literally as of yesterday.

Yeah, the "why" of it doesn't make sense to me.

Chris was dealing with some pretty big demons several years back, but seemed to have fought through them and gotten his life back on track.

The one thing that gives me peace in this is that I'm confident that he is with the Lord now and those demons can trouble him no more.

It's a kick in the gut and an empty space right now, but I find some comfort knowing I'll see my brother again one day.

A long time friend of mine passed early last year. He called me on my birthday (I don't think he even realized it was my birthday, so that made it more random) and we had a long talk. He passed away that night. We hadn't talked in months... l was struggling with some things and when I do, I tend to bury myself in a hole and power through it until I'm out. I'm glad I got to talk to him one more time. I'd wished I'd reached out myself.

Reach out to loved ones just to say hi. If you're struggling, reach out. You don't have to unburden yourself if you don't want to, but just reaching out could turn something around. You just never know.

I didn't know him at all but through his posts, and I always appreciated his posts. Same thing with reb, and I've seen how much these deaths affected y'all. I come to these threads to read what people say about them, it makes y'all more real. At the end of the day, all we leave behind is how we treated each other. You can't get older without dealing with loss at some point, so reach out...to family, to friends, to internet strangers. My DMs are always open.

He was an extrovert that could fit in with any crowd wirhout having to be fake.

Y'all no matter what spats you've had with people, remember that you're never alone. And I'm not just saying that. I mean it. I'm here and so are a slew of others willing to help out and be there for you.
