First 24 hours are in the books. This little guy is so sweet. Some ******* apparently moved out of an apt and left him behind. He's a little nervous still, so his personality is a little slow to show. He loves to cuddle, play fetch, and judge me. He hates the broom, the food they sent him home with, and the train that goes by my house.

One week down, forever to go!

Chester went to the vet today. He was not a fan. Did good when they gave him his lepto shot though. They looked at his paperwork from the SPCA and said that he was part of a small animal cruelty case . According to notes, he wouldn't let them touch him for 3 days. Has gained 3# since getting to the shelter on 5/13, going from 11 to 14 pounds.

2 weeks in. Chester agreed to take defensive driving for me in exchange for 2 treats, and immediately fell asleep.

1/10 will not hire again.

4 weeks in. Chester has finally stopped ****ting in the house. He ate a side order of marinara last week while I was in the bathroom. Somehow managed to do it without getting any sauce on my white rug. I put my old dog's heating pad in chester's crate, and now it is an act of Congress to get him out.

He loves to snuggle in the morning, and has a propensity for getting the zoomies at bedtime. He is decently smart, and can sit, dance, shake, come, and lay down.

We are the best of friends.

That's one of the ugliest dogs I've ever seen, I'm being serious. I read this whole thread and its a classic case that is 99% of the time seen in single women, so the owner of this dog may like the peen. Lonely person gets dog to fill the void of an actual human, they get overly attached to the dog and humanize them. The owner's obsession with the dog keeps them chronically single because their life revolves around the dog and no human partner wants to compete with the dog and/or put up with the owner's nonsensical lifestyle that revolves around the dog.
