Utah actually gets good snow because the systems dump there first as they move easterly.

Got into a lot of heavy powder at PC. But PC sucks on a board with heavy powder because it has lots of flat spots on and off the lifts. It was built before boarding was a thing and flat spots aren't so bad when you have poles.

Snow in northern Utah is affected by the Great Salt Lake. We get fluffy light snow in abundance with a good cold front and the Lake effect despite having a desert climate. I live in the Avenues area of Salt Lake and do plenty of shoveling from Dec-March. No complaints, however. It gives me a nice green lawn in the summer with all that snow locked up in our mountains.

Wolf Creek for snow quality and crowds

Breck for size, space, and village combination.
This is correct IMO

You won't find better snow than Wolf Creek, but sometimes it can be more snow than you really want.

Last trip there we had about 2 feet of snow on our car when we got ready to leave.

It was a challenge skiing in that much powder. I was scared all day of losing a ski.

Breckenridge is good skiing, but the village is incredible.

Breck's 10K base elevation is too high to be the best. Also colder and windy compared to other resorts. Harder to sleep well there and constantly have to chug water to not get headaches.
coldest I've ever skied was Taos actually. Breck isn't too cold.

If you don't mind standing in line, sure, have fun at BC, Vail, Breck, Copper. The snow is usually fantastic.

If you actually have a pair, hit A Basin and use the Palli lift.

Wherever I'm currently skiing is the best place to ski at that point in time.

This weekend, it's Loveland.

Park City resorts are the worst places to ski in northern Utah. Solitude, Brighton, Alta, snowbird, powder mountain and snow basin. All have better snow and are much cheaper.

I like Park city, but it is overrated and over priced.

Solitude is the best resort for the price in anywhere I've been in America.

I snowboard though.

Sure anywhere can have a cold front blow through and be super cold. Breck is one of the highest base elevations in the U. S. and is colder than Taos.

It would be neat if they'd invented something better instead of inventing an excuse for potheads to put on stupid hats and sit down in the middle of ski runs.

If you fly in to Eagle (they just finished a huge remodel and it's really nice now) I don't think you can beat Vail / Beaver Creek. They offer so many terrain options with the back bowls it's easy to find empty areas on busy days. They have all high speed lifts and the huge snow shoeing area in Beaver Creek is an awesome change of pace from skiing or snowboarding.
was just in Vail,
Eagle airport was very nice

And since we're talking about skiing, which happens in the daytime, Breckenridge is colder. Good graphic.

This is the haughty lack of introspection I expect from a skiier. Like you uncoordinated morons don't create four different hazardous projectiles every time you unskilled pencil necks go tumbling down the mountain.

They are both well above freezing with full sunshine this weekend, so instead of arguing, why don't you go ski?

I don't care which resort has the colder average temp, because I have the luxury of going to ski when it's nice. Oh.. I forgot most of you live in texas and can't daytrip to a resort. Suckas!

both are in the top 10 US ski elevation. Just a few hundred feet difference. I e skied Taos -10 and howling wind. I've never skied breck in those conditions. They are very different mountains.
