Who does the cooking in your home, and is your wife's cooking good?

My wife does all the cooking, I do the dishes, and we go out to eat about 3 times/week.

I have no interest in cooking, and as long as my job is the one that we rely on to pay the bills, our arrangement isn't going to change.

I'm not poor. we'll pay someone else to do all of that.

So what exactly do you bring to the table if you don't do much around the house?

One of my grandmothers couldn't cook worth a damn, and that was before ladies crowed about how they couldn't cook their way out of a bag of popcorn. The other grandmother can cook, so my-dad-as-a-dumbass-teenager looked like an ass crowing about basic things like non-instant tea and spaghetti sauce that sat on top of the spaghetti.

My mom brought a lot of that skill along with her, but I was such a little ******* she stopped making anything too exotic.

Also, no tattoos on my mom.

Who does the cooking? The cook does. The maid cleans the house, and my driver takes me where I need to go. Sheesh! Lol, poors.

I bought the table.

I'm splitting cooking and cleaning and paying for the stuff that we don't want do ourselves.

To be honest, I like cooking for someone else, with someone else, and I like cleaning upwhen n someone else cooks for me. I'm not too worried about how that will shake out.

Always enjoyed cooking since I was a kid. Nothing exotic, just good comfort food. Been divorced for 10+ years and not in danger of starving to death.

It's about 80% me cooking because I enjoy it and put more TLC in it.
Really enjoy the Home Chef recipes. She orders about 4 meals per week from them.

Maybe it's best just to do what makes sense for the relationship instead of focusing on all this "split this, split that" feminist nonsense.

No one in their right mind could consider me a feminist.

Besides, did you miss the part where I said that I enjoy cooking for someone else, enjoy cleaning when the other person cooks, and I like to cook alongside someone. I really only hate cooking for myself,

Like I said, of all the difficulties that romantic relationships bring, "who cooks" is not high on my list of worries.

If I was a stay at home wife, in this hypothetical world where someone wants to marry me, I would have no problem being housekeeper, making dinners, packing lunches, budgeting, mowing the lawn, scheduling stuff, laundry/ironing, and doing whatever home/spousal support stuff I can.

However, since I would prefer to have a job and career, I'd like to make the kinda money where some of that is outsourced and the rest we split in ways that are best suited to which chores we like the most and I'm sure my hypothetical husband and I will settle into a routine nicely. It will be great. I'll iron his shirts and he'll make dinner and I'll do dishes. Or we'll both decide to try a new recipe together. Or I'll get home first and I'll make dinner.
No telling what will work best yet, since he doesn't exist.

Interesting, to be sure. There's gotta be some catch, like traaaavellll or fostering awful "rescue" dogs or something.

Imma badass cook and do about 70% of it. the wife makes me nervous in the kitchen on anything outright a instant pot or crock pot. High expectations or just early marriage stage? Although It's kinda nice grilling three nights a week lol.

What do you fabricate? Care to post pictures of your shop? Would you say that you are the "hardest workin' man in the kitchen"?

This is more of what I "Fabricate" the only reason that's my current user name is I got banned five times after the UCLA game and that's the best nickname I could come up with that day.

Not a fan of cities, so going to a bunch of different ones sounds like its own hell. Not something I'd want to subsidize.

Seems to be an element of facebook/Instagram theatrics to it, as well. Lots of cash to shell out for that one perfect shot.

Wife can bake stuff and can cook, but I do about 80% of it as I am good too and the cook gets to pick the meal and how to season it.
