Sounds a lot like when I worked Offshore overseas. 26-30 hours flying, a short night in a hotel, then a 4 hour plane ride, another wait, then a 60-90 minute helicopter ride.
I would kill for 30-45 minutes of a commute... Now in the morning I go in early to beat the traffic so 30 minutes going 80 mph. Evenings going home take an hour to an hour 15 minutes... Oh and just under 30 miles.kevmiller said:
Time wise and milage?
Wife and I are looking at a move .. Little hesitant as it would put us farther away from work ...it's not terribly far but our whole adult life we have been 10-15 minutes out so it would be a change.
Would put her about 30 minutes out and me about 45.. Although I can get by working from home on some days.
Is a little longer drive to work something you get used to or is just a pain in the ass?
very similar. It sucks.Gramercy Riffs said:
12 miles. 45 minutes.
in Houston everyone works until 4-4:30 to "beat traffic" really it is just an excuse to work fewer hours.aTm2004 said:
Damn straight. Hopefully less people do it.

No ***** I don't punch a clock, but am a responsible adult who holds himself accountable. In at 7 is usually 6:45.
