That's not an "unlimited beverage package"! That's a ****ing "15 limit beverage package"!!!

False advertisement pieces of ****!! They'd sell more booze if they just dropped the freaking price a little. $6 for a damn Miller Lite plus tip. Eat a bag of donkey ****s!
they may sell more booze but likely make less money.

I would (I assume others would too) stop sneaking booze on if the prices were more reasonable. It's not a matter of not being able to afford the booze for me. It's the fact that they charge so damn much for it and I'm opposed to it on principle. They easily lose out on a few hundred dollars with me because I'll bring a bottle of Tito's and a bottle of scotch in my bag. I've never once had it confiscated and I've been on 10 cruises.

I did that too in college. Pretty white trash and unethical to do so as an adult.

Well you enjoy being ethical... I'll enjoy my more reasonably priced alcohol.

I did that a couple of weeks ago, but we still spent plenty of money onboard for booze as well. It was just nice having a bottle in the room.

Mrs. REL and I have done 4 cruises, all with Carnival. Nothing really wrong with them, we enjoyed them at the time. However, having said that, we are probably not going to do another Carnival Cruise again. They were enjoyable when we were younger (still in grad school before kids.) But now that we are both making good money we will probably do RCL or Disney, then check out Princess or Celebrity when we are older and don't need the more "kiddie" activities.

I will say this, if you have a job where, even on vacation, people tend to like to call or text you with work concerns, I found cruising to be very beneficial in that you are forcing yourself to disconnect and actually take a break. I have found personally that is harder for me to do when I have unlimited access to my cell phone and wifi.

Just looked up the rules on it...$50 per day and there are limits placed on drinks per day:

**Program allows for up to 15 alcoholic drinks per 24 hour period (6:00am-6:00am); once the limit is reached, the guest will not be served ANY additional alcoholic drinks.**
If this trip were to actually happen, I have 15 drinks to donate because I don't drink

Hadn't thought of that! We can't bring alcohol on board but that's a damn good idea!

I went on a carnival cruise with my wife and another couple and had a great time. We roomed on the upper decks of one of the newer ships. I've never stayed on the bottom floors on one of their aging ships which are the super cheap cruises that give people a bad taste in their mouth.

I've done aft balcony, and I have done interior cabins. Much like Vegas, you should be in your room as little as possible, and the view really didn't make the increase in price all that worth it.

Our next cruise will probably be interior cabin again, for $400 a person on a 7 day Caribbean cruise. Scuba in Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel. So totally worth it.

This is totally cruise specific, as some cruises are specifically for viewing the beauty of nature, and some are not.

An Alaskan cruise or a Viking river cruise are tailor made for viewing the natural surroundings. A cruise to Cozumel and back? Hell no, it's all water and you are there to gamble and drink.

I see a lot of content like that and I can't help but wonder if people who need to do all that should just stay home for their own good, or if maybe I'm the crazy one and just totally ignorant to dangers of travel? I mean, I use common sense, but I've never done any extra security steps beyond locking the door.

good God. That's BS.

On the last night of the cruise? What did she do on the other nights of the cruise? And who cruises alone? It costs twice as much in many cases...

I've been on quite a few cruises and never have I worried that the slam of the door shutting wasn't enough to keep me safe from violence or even being bothered.

She's not cruising alone, her pathetic boyfriend or husband is filming.
