I did bumble in 2015 for a bit and was quite pleased with it. Dated a few girls, and am now in a serious relationship with one. She and I had met years ago, but re-connected that way when we saw each other's profile. I've done tinder, match, and bumble, and have to say bumble was far better than any other the others. One of my matches (and someone I went out with a few times) was a former TA'er in DFW!

Dude, haircut, it sounds like you are getting messages from bots on tinder. Probably 90% of the conversations I had when using that app were with bots. They are just trying to direct you to porn sites.

Kate, good luck meeting anyone in a small college town with online dating. I couldn't even meet one person through online dating in College Station while I was a student. Is your job keeping you in CS?

I googled it and it looks like it's similar to tinder, with respect to the swiping. Once a match is made, the super hot chick has 24 hours to initiate contact or the match disappears forever.

I'll have to look into it...

A friend told me about an app called Happn....interesting concept, get matched with people whom cross your path. And once you cross and you both like each other you can chat. Doesn't work well for me cause I put the app on my iPad, and it doesn't leave the house to often to get matches. I mainly get teachers being so close to the school.

I created a fake woman's profile on a free online dating website once to see what women really go through on those sites. I think my IQ dropped 10 points reading all the messages.

I tricked one guy into thinking I was actually the bikini model in my profile pic because he recognized the pic of her. This was after he accused me of having a fake profile. Lulz.
