I don't know if all of 'em are bad, but I do know I was personally attacked by one. My neighbors were "good owners" and the dog had never attacked anyone before. It was completely unprovoked and the owner had to pry its jaws off of my hip. It attacked another neighbor about one year after my incident and was subsequently put to sleep.

When I see a pit walking down the sidewalk, my kids and I cross to the other side of the street.

I feel like there is a barrier between me and the people on this thread. I bought my pit bull in hopes he would bite every stranger that came to my house. I had been bit by pit bulls before, and thought they would make excellent guard dogs. As it turns out they won't just do this on their own. You have to train/ isolate/ abuse them or they just grow up into a useless lap dog. Maybe I should of got a lab or a kerr.
