my boss was telling me a story about his son's boy scout troop. They had a secret santa exchange (the boys are 12). His son received a gift bag with a note that said, "We were told not to spend more than 5 dollars on our gift. I spent 2 dollars on this bag. I spent 3 dollars on this card. So here is the other stuff. I found it all at school." The kid placed rocks, empty bubble gum rappers and an empty bag of M&M's in the bag.
