Susan 512-889-8601 is a scam. Got me for $180 on Auburn baseball tickets on March 26th.

Emailed me in response to a WTB thread. Family emergency so couldn't post on my thread, asked for and received screenshot of tickets. Used Venmo @larry-howe-48 last 4 digits 1134 which she claimed was her child, which was blocked by Venmo. Then Zelle to grandson 518-917-1398 name Luis Crusett.

First time I relaxed my vigilance but definitely the last. No Ag Tag, no deal.

Be careful, he changed his user name to OldAggie_2

He had messaged me originally as sus_agdawg and when I went to look at his message again it said OldAggie_2

Well this is weird.

sus_agdawg joined on April 13, 2024 and somehow got his username changed within a few weeks.

But Texags has a policy where you can't change your username within 6 months. So is this a bug in the forum software or did someone change his name for him?

I don't know if it will help but if I understand correctly, you can report it as fraud to Zelle

Had a strange encounter with "Richag". Did not confirm that he is a scammer, but nothing from his messages made me feel very comfortable.

Odd experience so far. Still telling me he doesn't have the tickets to transfer. Should have them by now

Saw an odd post from this account this morning, and it looks to be someone making a fake posting history to use for a scam down the road.

I called out a similar account, 12thfoundationag, last week, thinking they'd wait a bit to scam someone, but they scammed a couple people already.

Not sure if true but I have heard stories of buyers after receiving tickets claim there was an issue get the payment cancelled

Something I am usually a seller always use PayPal but after we agree on price I have them send me $20 to establish that the PayPal works
I send a ticket
they send me 1.5 price of a ticket I send another ticket and we go back and forth til all the money and tickets are transferred

Chris Moore (mmk.dds_1100@aol.com) tried reaching out to me only via email regarding tu football tickets. Asked them to post on my WTB post and they said they didn't have a TexAgs account. Google search shows they have also scammed in other communities. Be wary!

Paid someone (said was his aunt!) Amy Edgington - Venmo user name @roopatch. Last four 6566.

His "son's" name is India Marshall!? First tried to Zelle to him at 832-807-6565. Said it was under review so I cancelled it.

Also tried to use his "company Zelle: Said his email was rogercjones@myyahoo.com. Said it's his and his wife's company. Such a crock!

If you come across someone who identifies as Anthony Commander (Zelee), Phone 914-363-0097, email jolly2072@outlook.com, he is a Scammer. I was busy and missed a cople of warning signs. Sent him some money, he promised to transfer tickets multiple times, did not. Was able to cancel payment. He also might use email nosmok3420@gmail.com. He could not answer any lefitimate questions affter I was alerted to him.

How about create a ticket exchange and classified forum that is only accessible/usable by people who have subscriptions, accounts over 12mo old, and an AG tag as well as no fraudulent reports? Seems doable.

Theoretically it should be fairly easy to add that additional Premium Classifieds but those requests have fallen on deaf ears.

Might have extra data storage requirements…

These requests haven't fallen on deaf ears at all, and there are few technical hurdles. Discussions of restrictions of this nature, however, have had push back.

I'm also not sure they will help as much as you think. Scammers have consistently been purchasing subscriptions. And account age restriction will help some, but you can also self-filter the people you deal with in the same manner.

If you do not have a keen eye for a scammer or simply don't want to take the risk, I continue to suggest that the person selling or buying your tickets first prove to you (PM is the best route) that they have an account with:

• An AgTag
• A significant account history (>1yr at least) with normal posting engagement
• A Premium subscription (up to you, not trying sell subs)

Most people scammed simply ignore these suggestions.

So have both! Hurdles can't be that hard.

Thank you for responding, and I have no idea what your source code looks like. I'll take your word for it that it isn't that easy to reproduce another forum page.
