It was the weirdest kind of officiating that didn't get any of the dirty stuff under control but rather called the ticky tackiest penalties in every other regard. Capped off perfectly with that "slashing" call at the end of the game lol.

First off, some of the worst playoff officiating I've ever seen. The amount of head hunting the Wild big line did every single shift with only getting one penalty is crazy. I know it's the playoffs and you finish checks/play more physical but that was out of hand and the longer it went on without getting called, more and more runs were taken.

Second, F Dave Jackson. On the Filigno/Harley play, the officials pulled him out of there immediately before every Stars player on the ice got a chance to kill him for that bush league/intent to injure play. Then Jackson gets in and says that they would not have downgraded that major to a minor on just the hit alone, that he must have done something after the hit is ludicrous.

Feel like the league is trying to elevate the Wild for all the Team USA feel good feelings and kept Quinn's enforcer in the game when he should have been kicked out. He drove Harley into the curved glass then wrapped him up and left his feet as he was rolling Harley over to drive him face first into the ice. Glad the Stars kept their composure and were able to finish that game off. Never really felt like the Wild got to their game and the Stars played their game really well

I hate being in the Western Conference so much. I cannot handle 9:00 p.m. puck drop after 9:00 p.m. puck drop. I have barely recovered from Monday.

I live on the east coast. It's absolutely brutal.

Feel for you guys, even in the mountain time zone, these times suck. I fell asleep before OT of the Avs game last night.

Same, and I get up at 5am. Yesterday morning was rough, and I'm sure tomorrow morning will be as well.

I think the NHL front office, but more so ESPN/TNT need to do a much better job of starting games on-time. If it's an 8:30 p.m. puck drop, then dammit I am want the puck on the ice at 8:30 p.m. I don't care about the studio shows, I don't care if another game goes to OT etc. Put the later starting game on an alternate channel starting on-time and roll straight into the game when the other is over. I'd imagine they are killing some viewing the later and later these games start.

Many times the other game is still going anyway when they drop at 8:50. Dumb

I assume that it's advertisers as well who want as little overlap as possible. It's the same for the NBA.

I would have to think that whatever viewers you gain by staggering the games is lost by people turning it off because it's so late for your time zone.

Any plan that forces you to stay up past midnight to watch a team in your time zone is a bad plan.

Start the games earlier and you might even get some more people from the east coast to stay tuned in for the western conference.

The NHL and the networks just always cater to the East and everyone else is an afterthought.

I was at Monday night's game and it was awesome all around BUT I live in Parker County so I got home about 1 AM and went to work the next day. Still tired and recovering from it lol so I don't know if I can make it until the end tonight. I really wish they would at least really start AT 8:30 instead of 20 minutes later. But whatever. Go Stars!
