Just got home, I will say not what we hoped for in that race, but as cheese85 alluded to in the other thread, every race is different & don't always go as planned.
Good news, despite getting spiked, Sam said he stepped off feeling Great & ready to do it again. Actually pleaded for a spot on a 4x4 tonight...

Health always comes first!!! The fan in us always expects PR's or these huge leading times! But they are human, and every race presents its own challenges!! We all know what that group is capable of! Can't wait to see what they do next time they step on the track!!! Still got lots of opportunities!

I think outdoors we can even field a C and a D team lol! They should pick the guys on the A team and make them have a draft for 3 other runners to join them and let them all battle it out at EB Cushing

Sofia Iakushina is sitting in 6th nationally and Blake Harris is in 25th

4x400 men's team is 1st, in fact in the national top 50, we have a B, C, D, E, and F ranked! Our women's relay falls to 7th

400 wise, Jermaisha Arnold moved up to 4th, we still have 4 guys in the top 16, but Nortje sitting in that last spot.

Cawthra's 3:54 got bumped out of the top 16 and is currently in 18th, which is almost impossible to comprehend

In other track news, high school sophomore Cooper Lutkenhaus ran a 1:46.86 in the indoor 800 meters at the Milrose Games, setting a new national high school record for the indoor 800. He broke the HS record that had been held by the winner of the Milrose race, Josh Hoey in 1:43.90.

I wonder if Copper will one day run in college, or go straight pro. I would imagine he would go pro if he continues to improve.

I saw that time, I honestly can't believe it! How do you do that indoors, then get on a yellow school bus the next week and race guys trying to break 2 minutes
