DeSmith was absolute nails all night. What a luxury to have your 2nd keeper be able to bail out what was a pretty poor defensive performance.

Nothing I'm seeing is saying it's long-term IR. He was placed on the IR retroactive to Sunday and he's not on the trip while he is being evaluated in Dallas. Regular IR puts him on the shelf for 7 days and allows them to fill his roster spot. Of course he could eventually be moved to LTIR.

(edit: It's possible I misread... you're saying they should put him on LTIR and not reporting it?) We're in a better spot this year with cap space than we were last year. I have faith in Nill to make the moves necessary at the deadline without having to take the Vegas route.

My tickets for Friday's game in Vegas just came through on StubHub so I'll be the one in the Stars jersey yelling "Stars" during the anthem.

I was gonna watch the Stars-Kings game tonight since it's on TNT and the Devils aren't playing... but the game is blacked out on TNT. Grrr

For someone who is a channel-surfing casual fan (or fan of another team who only watches the Stars occasionally), the Stars have made it very inconvenient to watch them.

I used to regularly click over to FSSW/Bally (on DirecTV) to catch the third period of Stars games after Devils games ended on the East coast... but now I just channel surf over to another game instead (got the Golden Knights-Ducks on now).
