Fortunate to win this one in regulation. Lots of great chances that Nashville didn't cash in.

Got to sure up the defensive play. At least the Stars converted their chances on Wedgewood.

With my basic hockey knowledge, I felt like we just hacked our way out of our own zone and are missing a smooth defensive strategy at this moment. Would have like to see more redirects at mid-center ice.

I trust DeBoer at this point to tweak things, and the Preds are good and have some FU attitude to get out this year with their new members. Glad we got the W.

I hope Bourque comes back soon. Love Stankoven and can't wait to see his contributions this season.

Edited to add that I hope Dumba is called for a private meeting today about how Dallas doesn't take stupid penalties and try to get away with obvious dirty play and dangerous high sticking.

I bought one of the game worn sweaters from the winter classic that the Stars auctioned off. It was such a cool experience that I couldn't resist.
