I sure enjoy watching Parker Valby run a whole lot more than the ugly little girl Arkansas had that ran for them about 10 years.

I know we won championships a decade ago, but how does T&F get so much money at it for a non-rev sport on the decline?

Decathlon is a big event for arkansas here, need a couple teams to help us out on the mens side and push Jack Turner and Yariel Torrado away from big points.

What makes you think they get "so much money". And why do you think it is on the decline. It has NOT been a decade since we won a natty but not winning a natty does NOT mean T&F IS DECLINING! Men and women almost always finish top 10 and higher. I bet you wouldn't be complaining if any of the" top 3" were able to perform at even close to that level!!

Henry was a great coach. His time has come and gone. He should not be allowed to totally destroy the program before being replaced.
You have your head in bucket! Pat's time is NOT over. With just little good luck , men could have easily won it all this year!

And the men were in position to win the SEC meet which is no small feat.

New indoor and outdoor facilities in the past few years can't have been cheap. Indoor was really a football decision I guess.

Last Men's Championship was 2013 and last women's was 2014. Since then nowhere near the dominance we had from 2009 to 2014.

The Men won indoors in 2017.

I'm curious. I saw a post from Auburn where one of their 400 runners placed 22nd and still received all America honors. Do they just hand those out like candy?

Everyone that competes at this meet gets it! Like the first eight are first team, next eight second team, then honorable mention lol

I feel like top 8 should equal first and second team all Americans. After that, maybe 8-16 should be honorable mention. But for placing 22nd and being honored as an all American is a joke

You are wrong. You obviously didn't check. Just relied on a faulty memory

I remember as a yout during summer track way back there I found myself working out on hurdles with an older guy named Jimmy Gailey who ran at Baylor. We were walking to get water and he mentioned he had just gotten in from the National Meet. I asked if he just went up to watch it and he said no, he ran in it.
Later on I asked him how he did and I think he said he got fourth place in the 400 HH. I said dude, you are an All American! He looked at me and said yeah, I guess I am. Very unassuming guy.

If I remember correctly Gailey was a pretty good football player for Baylor also.

Brodhead. Do you remember if Gailey ran on their mile relay also.

Let me correct myself before someone does it for. I think I was mistaken Gailey played football. It seems it was a long jumper. T O would know.

I think Ricky Thompson played football and jumped. He was a thorn in Tom's side at conference.

Yep. Thompson was the guy.
