Ladies both stay at 20'9 and have the best long jump marks! Next is the javelin at 1:45! They both are strong at the event, but we need Timara Chapman to beat Notre Dame's O'Brien! She has a 108 point gap! This next event is huge! Both are great at it!

Joniar Thomas also got herself into contention and is now in 8th place, she is good at the javelin as well!

hate to interject some baseball on the track thread but Braden Montgomery had to be helped off the field trying to score from second. his ankle took a nasty turn near home plate and an air cast was put on his leg. Horrible to lose your best player.

Timara Chapman's 800 PR is 2:16 but this year she has run 2:24 and 2:19

Jadin O'Brien's 800 PR is 2:11 but that was ran 3 years ago, her most recent 800 was 2:15

However in the heptathlon scoring, Timara Chapman is safe is she stays within 7 seconds of her! Which I think is entirely possible! They will have a 4 hour break until the 800 and that's if it's on schedule! That's plenty of time for Timara to recover and run with O'Brien! Just stay near her and she'll be your 2024 NCAA Heptathlon Champion!!! Joniar Thomas is in the next flight!

After 6 events Timara Chapman is still the leader and Joniar Thomas is in 8th, unfortunately I don't think Joniar Thomas will score unless she runs a huge Pr in the 800 her slow start in the first three events and a very slow out of the ordinary time in the hurdles really set her back!

A 4 second PR in the 800 (2:11) will get Timara Chapman the Olympic Standard, although that will be hard to do!!

If she hits her PR she moves into the 8th best Heptathlete in NCAA History
