hate to interject some baseball on the track thread but Braden Montgomery had to be helped off the field trying to score from second. his ankle took a nasty turn near home plate and an air cast was put on his leg. Horrible to lose your best player.

Timara will stay at 139'6! She currently has a 116 point lead over O'Brien!

However in the heptathlon scoring, Timara Chapman is safe is she stays within 7 seconds of her! Which I think is entirely possible! They will have a 4 hour break until the 800 and that's if it's on schedule! That's plenty of time for Timara to recover and run with O'Brien! Just stay near her and she'll be your 2024 NCAA Heptathlon Champion!!! Joniar Thomas is in the next flight!

After 6 events Timara Chapman is still the leader and Joniar Thomas is in 8th, unfortunately I don't think Joniar Thomas will score unless she runs a huge Pr in the 800

A 4 second PR in the 800 (2:11) will get Timara Chapman the Olympic Standard, although that will be hard to do!!
