A 5th place is great… but I'm tired of being so close or blaming it on an injury every year!! I love this school I love this sport I love this team way too much… I WANT A NATIONAL TITLE! We have the best indoor stadium, we have one of the best outdoor stadiums, we have the great coaching staff, we have fan support, we need to win a National Title
I don't want to read a happy article or hear a happy interview next week, I want Pat Henry to be pissed, I want an entire roster to be pissed, I want the entire coaching staff to be pissed…

Man track and field is so unpredictable at times as a dq or did not finish can really turns things upside down. Steeplechase, dq by Robinson and Kimar not finishing strong in the 800 could have won this team and national title.
Former ag Ashton Schwartzman wins the title with Florida.
It's great to see that they won the 4x400 and Robinson had redemption on that run. Had a season best in that relay. The guys had a great track season and looks like things are coming along but a national title would be nice.
And for those checking out till next track season, I encourage you from the bottom of my heart to follow along during cross country in the fall! Our ladies made some history last year qualifying as a team to the xc national championships and we being back all but one of those girls and upgraded the roster through recruiting!! I preview every meet in detail and it's a whole lot of fun! We bring back some great runners on the men's side along with transfers!!
And also keep the track thread goiy during the rest of this exciting Olympic year. A lot of great T&F happening the next two months
Yes!! After all this I'll start an Olympic Trials Thread and then eventually an Olympic Track thread as well as other Olympic sports thread! I'll break down Aggies in the Olympic Trials as well and we can discuss predictions for each event and so forth!!! Track fan 4 lyfe

I'll have 8 throwers in the NCAA next year!! I wasn't able to make it to any meets this year due to my mother being in a coma 
but I'll try to make it out to meets next year! We can eat some Aggie dogs drink some warm Levy drinks and cheer on our Aggies racing around the oval!

Can someone talk to TexAgs to see if a Texas Aggie Track forum can be added to this website? If they can have one for soccer (who cares about soccer), they should have one for track. We have won national championships in track in the past.
Great job, Ags. Yeah, that 800 "finish" was frustrating to watch- that video should be exhibit A for every fish member of our team. In fact, for every fish in EVERY sport! We've all had those moments and not to crucify him, but it is a great teaching tool. Couple it with the later relay victory and you have two great lessons!

victor was dealing with a leg injury for a while and told me hasn't been able to train. I'm sure that's why he stepped off. you could see he didn't look comfortable. doesn't subtract from his SEC championship. hopefully he gets healthy.

i'm surprised we finished as high as we did. Schulman out of contention due to some really bad luck, Auhmad DQ'd in the 400, Victor DNF in the steeplechase, Sam in the javelin was throwing hurt. imagine what could have been! Anyway that 4x400 was awesome. Can you imagine this being a school record and meet record. with all the great quarter milers A&M has had that is quite an accomplishment!

I was concerned about Sam not being aggressive enough in the 800 and getting boxed in on the rail and that's exactly what happened. he's so strong but doesn't poses the closing speed the Virginia guy has. Sam needed to start his kick much sooner to put some distance between him and Virginia! Lesson learned!
