In other news I'm extremely excited for the Heptathlon today!! Love following along with the multi events!!! Timara Chapman has the number 3 heptathlon this year in the US 10 points ahead of Annie Kunz! Let's hope she can build on that mark and put on a show!! Let's go for 6480, the Olympic standard

Yes and this year he's gone 5.78 and 5.72! 18'9 and 18'7, he should be competing in Paris, hopefully he makes it to campus! We've been missing out for sure podium field eventer on the men's side! Like when we had Kryiazis in the javelin, Will Williams and Tahar Triki jumping

He hadn't even competed in the event since March as he focused on his side quest in discus.

We'll take it though since Texas doesn't look like it's going to score a whole lot elsewhere on the men's side, and we need the track points to take down Stanford in the Director's Cup.

the in season rankings are only based off of in ideal rankings in each event! Some school like Arkansas and Alabama didn't run their top distance guys till conference. We had the number 3 high jumper in the country, but he didn't do anything else aside from that one jump, we had Sam Whitmarsh ranked in the 1500 and Kimar Farquharson in the 400!

On the women's side we two other javelin throwers ranked in the top ten but they both didn't even advance to this meet we had a transfer pole vaulter who placed 4th at this meet last year that didn't make it here also and the one that did underperformed! These rankings had us top 3 all year until the latest one that had our men 5th and women 6th which are pretty accurate…

some teams don't run their best people till the end of the outdoor season anyways, which is something Pat Henry used to do but now he has everyone compete more often! These rankings are computer and rankings based, not on projections

They could be on a pro contract, but Texas does a good job with NIL and keeping their top Olympic level track athletes in school, along with Florida and Arkansas

I've been anxiously waiting all day for track to begin!! The one week out of the year my throwing group practices only once a day in the morning
