Texas Relays were on our schedule at one time. They are not on there anymore. What's up. Did someone listen to Taylor?

Our girls are going. They apparently have a 1500 and a 1600, but no 800?

Mine will be running the 4x8 and the 800 leg in the DMR.

The HS girls 1600 looks like the race of the decade.

I wish Conde de Frankenburg and San Juanita Leal would have been in it too! Then it may have been scarier! But Humphries and Littlefield and Wade! Texas girls distance is going crazy this year! This post season should be fun!

Multi eventers not competing here anymore! Overall seems like a weak college field! A handful or less solid 4x1 and 4x4 teams, and other than that it's a WEAK field with a bunch of meh

I don't follow track like I should as it has been years since I have been to the State meet and/or Texas Relays. I am not sure what you are calling a weak field but appears lots of SEC-B12-Pac-B10 teams plus Houston in it. If that weak, we ought to be running in it. I think you have to have a qualifying time to get in.
Anyway, will try and catch as much as I can on TV. Arkansas is there.

I don't think nearly 80 relay teams means there's a qualifying time. In general the field and meet in general are weaker than what it used to be! Look at the multi's right now, that's such a weak field, the distance events tonight will be boring and may not have anyone who will score at nationals between 8 distance races. The 800 is weak too, the sprint medley and distance medley and 4x800 are not highly contested races this year. It's still a quality meet and fast times will come out of it, but it doesn't have the firepower it used to have! Even too high school teams are missing out, the meet is a mess to attend, over priced, and takes way too long and your athletes are out in the sun for way too long, it's a Longhorn showcase more than a track meet and I'm happy Pat Henry isn't taking our team there! I'll be watching the Florida Relays instead

And by the way, I competed at this meet in high school and had fun! One of my athletes competed here last year and placed 4th, and a few I help sometimes are competing there tomorrow! Although not ran well, it's a great meet for high schoolers, even though the exclusion of some races os a head scratcher! But to me this is more suited for a high school meet!

First year since 2013 that I won't attend besides Covid cancellations! I'll tune into the results to see my athletes competition and the few that I have helped before! The womens 400 hurdles and the 4x100's will be great to see though!

Texas women just broke their 4x100m relay meet record from last year running 42.38 in prelims

I heard the relays are already way behind. Awesome. My daughter has the DMR at 9:30 tonight (actually midnight???), and the 4x8 at 12:40 p.m. Saturday. Meanwhile they're running a bazillion heats of mediocre HS sprints, don't even run an 800, and our girl who runs the 3200 in 11:06 doesn't make the meet. Lucky her. Rice was run 100% professionally. Guessing the 'sips hired some third party cluster to do their meet. Probably beneath them to do it themselves.

Should I just show up tomorrow morning and buy tickets? Any reason to get them ahead of time? Sip website won't even tell me where they're located, how much it is to park...hate to drive from Houston and get caught in some huge mess.
