So they consider Dellandrea on the roster already because he is supposed to be back in a week or two, max. And because of their cap situation, they are going to go to Nashville with 13 forwards, 7 dman, and two tendies. My guess is that they will use the 13th forward spot to consistently rotate guys like Damiani, Kivi, etc. and they may have to float that 14th forward spot in order to stay under the cap.

Oettinger really needed to just drop his stick. It didn't help that Lindell kinda had him pinned to the post. But Oettinger needs to have more urgency to get to the other post. We've got a pretty chippy team though...I like.

Injuries are the last thing that we need. I think this team has the talent to compete for the second or third spot in the division behind Colorado, but we must avoid injuries because it will take time to adjust to this system and we are very young behind the vets.
I really think Johnston is the young guy that sticks this season, but Stankoven is going to get there soon.

I have my issues with Jim Nill, but he has assembled a fantastic group of young forward talent. Between Stankoven, Johnston, Bourque and a couple others, this team is going to have a whole new "window" in a few years. Like I said before, this team may be scary good in '25 or '26, but time will tell.

I'm not any hockey expert, but I think Damiani should be one of the 24. He looked pretty good in a couple of the preseason games I watched
We don't have space and he's eligible for the AHL. NHL rosters are also 23, not 24. Additionally, the stars won't be carrying 23 due to cap issues.
Edit: by space I mean we don't have any spots for him. I don't want to take out any of the starting 12 right now to put Damiani in.

It's my opinion - not asking you to do anything and don't really care if you disagree
I'm not disagreeing with your opinion, just stating mine and the fact that rosters are 23 players and we are going to carry 22 because of cap space. If we could carry 23 I am sure Damiani would be on the roster.

In regards to letting Johnston crash with him and his family, I would assume this is only temporary until he knows he's either going to be on the team moving forward or only going to play his 9 games then go back to the OHL, right?
