Roman Turner must have gotten into the meet via a scratch because his best time of the year before the meet was 10.39 which ranked 99th....and then he ran 10.18 in round 1...Achane came in with a 10.12.

I'm hoping the ladies pick up the slack tomorrow! We should get a lot more qualifiers, hopefully both relays. Time for Lamara, Deborah, Kaylah, Deshae, Avi, our 400 ladies, and Laila to pop off! I know they won't let something like this happen!

So someone sell me on Kirk Henry. IMO none of our sprinters have improved over last year and most regressed over the season.
And Pat needs to pick it up in recruiting in the short sprints. We've fallen waaay behind.

Tonight was another indicator that we seem to be regressing as a program particularly on the men's side. Two of our national qualifiers are on football scholarships. The women have a better chance to score well at the national meet, but still not a whole lot of depth there. I just started following the program more closely the last two years....so why the decline in talent and overall depth?
Been saying it…Henry is three years past his ability to position us for NCs. K Henry is a joke…we need to clean house.
It's hard to be critical of a coach with so much past success, but it's pretty obvious when we committed a lot of $$ to track..... the results have become underwhelming. In fact, you can make the case our track program is digressing and certainly under performing.
Every time A&M upgrades a facility the team using the facility takes a step back. I hark back as far as 78. Kyle field renovations were on tap, we fired (or he resigned) the HC that year and went into a 5 year funk as a program.
Let's blame Tyra for quitting and throwing the team into a funk

Lots of issues.
- AD suffered under Hyman
- SEC schools "in-state" scholarships & tuition
- Misevaluations by either Henry or Anderson
- Short sprint pool decreased significantly.
- Loss of really good recruiters (Anderson had no social media to interact with recruits, but now that we got rid of him he does)
- Lack of a pro training group (this does make recruiting easier).
Allyson Andress clears 5'5 on her first attempt, Lamara will open at 5'9
Allyson Andress third attempt clearance at 5'7.25, next height is 5'9.25 which she is going to need to clear! Probably gonna need a PB of 5'11
39 high jumpers left… two jumpers haven't jumped yet and both have once or still reside in College Station
Just as the sun rises every morning, Lamara easily rises over the opening height
23 jumpers left, Andress is out! Next height is 5'11.25
In the East Regionals LSU's Abigail O'DONOGHUE does not qualify in the high jump
