Shamier Little with a 50.84 to place 2nd in the 400
On a sadder note, horrible for us to lose Tori Bowie at such a young age, dead this week at 32. She was always a joy to watch and had a great stretch there in 2016-2017

Just watched that replay and wow what a final 50 from Fred. I've never seen him gain strength in a 200 like that.
That's what i was saying! He's usually jus maintaining in the 200, but he looked STRONG! I don't know if that's an indicator for a low low 19 or a 43

Annie Kunz put up a nice performance, 6330, at the Gotzis multis meet this weekend. Looks like she is recovered from her injury and on track to make the US team for the World Championships this summer. Anna Hall had a monster number, 6988, less than three hundred points from Joyner-Kersee's WR.

Hall went on to place 3rd in the 400M hurdles at Florence the following week. She is having a great year.
Now the records in the 2 mile record for the men and the 5000m for the women have been broken.
Idk this till today so this was news to me but Fred states he was injured goin into the final.
Stated that he didn't even warm up but just went straight to the blocks and still won on heart
though injured! The interview shows his 'track gangsta' mentality. Such impressive stuff.

Asinga has already qualified for the World Championship. He will be representing his father country of Suriname.
Also I think the MVA team might have arrived late. Their flight had cancelled and another one delayed so they might have arrived this morning in New York. This might have affected both Asinga and Hodge.
I wish we could somehow get the MVA coach and former Aggie Gerard Phiri as an assistant coach with us. This can have a huge positive impact on the team and recruiting

Do you think Athing Mu can get back to 1:55 or lower! Keely Hodgkinson opened at 1:55! Which is scary but I'll always have my money on Mu
If she can run a 1:58 with a conservative strategy and no real competition, sure seems like she's got a couple seconds room to improve that time. She's just great!
Interesting to see Matt Boling running the 400 today also. Not a deep field, but for a 100/200 guy he looked really good (through about 300 anyway).

Consistency: It's only a virtue if you're not a screw-up.
Brandon Miller didn't look great. Didn't lead and no juice down the stretch. Two weeks to nationals. Little worried.
