Sydney out of worlds due to a knee issue

What has happened to our women high jumpers? The US has 1 entry in the women's high jump but 5 entries each in the women's pole vault, shot put and discus.

Only one high jumper made the qualifying standard.
If the defending champion is from the US, then the US would have an automatic entry plus 3 additional entries plus an alternate which gives 5 entries given that all these have attain the qualifying standard. In this case only 4 would compete though, the automatic qualifier based on being the defending champion and 3 new entries.
