107 in Eugene at 4 p.m. PST. Heat index of 116, which is the only number that matters. You really can't do this for the safety of the athletes. But also, they've trained years for this and shouldn't win or lose based on a freak weather occurrence. And, USTAF doesn't want posers heading over to Tokyo.

Just saw that 5000m men's final. Wow. I ran that same race this morning in Houston heat. A full 3.5 minutes over my PR. Can't imagine how these dudes deal with the heat.

I would still assume that they'll have a dedicated Long Jump feed (10:30p CT) on nbcsports.com as that is unlikely to wrap before the 800M heptathlon begins at 11:02p CT

She's not a good enough jav thrower for it to matter. Barring a catastrophe, the top three is likely decided.

They ran about a 53 last 400 - around 27.5 the 1st 200 and 25.5 the last 200.
