Some nice drama so far this week.

Under red flag now.
Ham with a 10s drive through penalty hanging over his head.

McLaren got really screwed by the red flag. Interesting drama here for once.

Norris is now under investigation for going to slow in the pit lane. What wild race so far. It's basically a brand new race now.

Could we get a podium w/o Mercedes or Redbull? Looks probable.

But regardless, the rest should be dang fun.

At this point I wouldn't be upset at all if Hamilton manages to win

Not a Hamilton fan but he has a point. Those boards on the outside of parabolica would be impossible to see if you are looking into the turn. His team dropped the ball on him, they should've been on top of that.

All on his team. Obviously McLaren noticed them.

It would be great to see Gasly hit P1.

The restart is going to be an all out sprint, I can't wait. Also I'll be pissed if Hamilton be able to overturn his penalty. If his is overturned so should giovanazzi

What a drive by Gasly. I didn't think he could hold off the McLaren but he did. Wow!

Redbull really missed an opportunity to make up points today.

So nice to see honest, pure emotions from the race winner.

To see Pierre shed a tear and then take a swig of the champagne was probably the most human Formula 1 moment I've seen in recent years. Great job Pierre!

With moving the last few weeks and being on the west coast where races are hella early typically I haven't been watching closely.

Need to go ahead and watch the recording of this one

That was a lot of fun. And I thought it was so great to see how excited the other drivers were for Gasly.

Didn't hear it in the broadcast, were the alert signs in a new place this year at Monza? Seems like making sure the drivers know where they are would be an important detail each team would want to cover.

True. But I think pit lane closing is something that happens so rarely that it wouldn't matter if they covered it or not.

I can see how Hamilton missed it, but no way his team should have missed it.

He couldn't ask for a better redemption story after being demoted from RedBull last year.

Yeah. I see your point about Hamilton missing it.

This has to be extremely difficult for Sainz. He was so close to P1 and this may have been his best shot this season. Combine that with his upcoming move to ferrari, that's rough.

Have to applaud the professionalism of Kimi Raikkonen during the passes thru the chicanes. Could have easily tried to block or make contact with the other drivers. Was rooting hard for Sainz at the end but he just didn't have the grip/power coming out of the corners to stay with Gasly.

Just saw where Checo is leaving RP at the end of the year paving the way for Vettel to take his spot next to Stroll. Interesting as Vettel had been going a while this season without a spot wrapped up.

Otmar Szafnauer (sp?), the team principal, was spotted driving with Vettel a few weeks back and has been speculated as far back as Austria, I think. It was just a matter of Checo accepting his buyout.

I could see him in the other Haas alongside Hulkenburg next year. Could also see Mick Schumacher and Hulkenburg, too.

I've heard a fun little rumor that Perez and Hulk could both be driving for Haas next year. Really hope that happens and Haas/Ferrari can fix their chassis/engine issues.

Yeah KMag and Grosjean have done themselves no favors at Haas. Honestly was surprised Haas signed the Concorde Agreement which I think locks them up for another couple years which means that'll take them through the rule changes into 2021. I thought they'd throw in the towel by now.

I think Haas is banking on the cost savings from next year's requirement to use basically the same car as this season and then the strong cost cap that will be in place starting the following year. I think if Ferrari can fix their engine power issues and they can get a couple of halfway decent drivers Haas could be back to the lower middle tier above Williams and Alpha and fighting with Alphatauri and Renault.

In case anyone missed it. Vettel replaces Perez on next year's AMR team.

One week after win at Monza, Gasly fails to get out of Q1.
