Gah... just realized we have ESPN again and I could have watched it.

Looks like a crazy race. Must be a record (9?!?) for recent DNFs?
I'll tkaethat podium, wouldn't have predicted it, but I like it a lot.
Would be pretty cool to see Bottas win the season title.
As bad as Ferrari has been so far, I have no idea how LeClerc finished P2. But I still don't see Ferrari sustaining a challenge against Mercedes.
Red Bull was very idappointing today. They don't seem to be a legit challenger to Mercedes either.
So, Bottas looks like the only potential rival to Hamilton. But Bottas did this early last year and faded.
Can't wait until next weekend!

Looks like you got your wish.

Congrats to Lando!

Is Haas not the most irritatingly bad team? Gunter Steiner says he's excited about this coming weekend, and that they've learned stuff after having BOTH CARS retire because of break overheating. The bs talk every week and every year. How does Gene Haas keep falling for it? They've kept that same clown show of drivers and team principal for at least 3 years. Wild.

I think that speaks to just how hard the sport is to succeed at, the Haas cars had okay pace this weekend and far better than last year comparatively. A break issue is not a hard one to fix where as last year there whole aero package was shot. Gunther giving the resources at his disposal is doing a good job. He is trying to turn around a tanker ship here in fixing last years issues where as the other teams have far more money to fix problems faster.

No doubt F1 is hard. The problems with Haas start with Gene Haas. If he's not getting the team the resources it needs, that's on him. If Gunter and team have the resources (or even if they don't) continually underperform, and Gene Haas doesn't make changes, that's on him.

I'll be surprised if either Haas car finishes in the points this Sunday.

Alonso back in F1 with Renault next year.

Hate that he likely won't have a good car, but great to have him back

I wonder where Seb winds up now

Nowhere. Same place as Hulk. And I bet at least 2 or 3otner drivers that have a seat in 2020.

Lol seb is just a bit better than hulk

Yeah but I'm willing to bet he won't even consider a team that can't compete. He's not going to pull a Kimi.

There are some rumblings of huge news tomorrow, we will see what comes of it but the rumor is that seb is going to be going back to Red Bull.

Wow. Would feel bad for Albon and have a hard time seeing that work with Max.

Max has been asked about it in interviews and seems all about it, who knows it may all be a bunch of BS but what a cool pairing that would be

I don't know what seats are left unspoken for next year, but Albon would be the best option available for anyone. That kid is going to be something special.

I can think of a team that could use him. Rhymes with Hass.

Honestly I think I would rather have Albon over Seb for the next couple of years. Max is clearly #1 so give me the young up and coming guy to pair with him over the older guy on the backside of his career.

I would too if I was red bull. Max may say he's cool with Seb but I wonder if Seb can really handle being a number 2.

Would love to see Albon at Haas if it means no more Frenchie.

I'm not convinced Haas will still be in F1 in a year or two, but there has to be no chance either current driver gets another contract. That said, if they do still exist and I'm Albon I would go anywhere not named Williams before going to Haas.

I think the new spending caps give them a better chance of remaining

I think Alfa Romeo is the only place Seb could end up. And I think that's a long shot.

Horner just confirmed on air during practice that Seb will not have a Red Bull seat next year. Sticking with Max and Alex.

There's just no easy/obvious place for him - unless Kimi decides to retire. No idea what Kimi's contract status is.

Vettel seems like he will take any seat available, judging from his quotes. So if it's Haas or Williams, he'd take it. I'd guess.

I'll be curious to see how much the results this weekend are different from last weekend. Interesting to see the racing on the same circuit 2 weeks in a row.

I do NOT think Ferrari will be on the podium this time. Shockingly, I think Racing Point WILL podium.

I know he's made comments that imply salary doesn't really matter, but do you really see him taking a team where he'll struggle finish 15th?

He's a race car driver and likes to race. So yes. I think if he has an option on the grid - any option- he'll take it. I like that. He's not afraid of the challenge of a bad car. That's pretty cool.

It certainly wouldn't hurt my feelings for the sport to trade Vettel for Grosjean.

Loved that. Racing in bad rain makes me very nervous but qualifying in a downpour is awesome.

Ouch. Leclerc with a 3 spot penalty will start 14 now.

Ouch. Very odd seeing Ferrari all in the back half. It seems possible that Ferrari finishes in the middle of the Constuctors standings. Incredible.

Very true. But for this race, I'm hoping that makes for a lot of excitement as Leclerc works his way up.
